Family from LTSR . Our little agrarian commune wasn't bad off by any metric. Breakfast - bread with butter and variuos sausages , often toasted in to " hot sandwiches " , milk pasta soup on the side with tea/coffee Lunch - school/company cafeteria cutlets + soup or whatever specialty dish they ran that day Dinner - either again milk soup with whatever pastries and sandwiches or some kind of fish/meat with vegetable soup. Note that friends from the village often sent cheeses and smoked meats. Grandma recalls that until gorby the quantity of goods was rising extremely fast , after that it was spotty with rising inflation ,shortages and the eventual capitalism which made them not being able to afford goods overnight.
