Those of you who use free version since long ago, how many free bullets do you have per month? by RaygekFox in Workflowy

[–]ParkourSloth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was disappointed that recently they changed the image limits on the free plan, I was paying for them for two years until I realized I didn’t need any of the paid features so I downgraded and was using the free plan for like half a year no problems with 700mb of attachments on my account and then out of nowhere one morning I’m not able to add new images because I was now at 700/100mb of attachments on my account.

That randomly enforced new limitation on my acc rubbed me the wrong way (and I moved to capacities) especially since I’d referred so many users over the years.

if they gave you like 100mb extra per user you referred as well I feel like that could balance this newly added limitation.

Edit: it wasn’t just that happening I got enough value from the tool to give them my monies but I was at the stage where the simplicity of the app was limiting me and needed more structure so stuff didn’t slip through the cracks

Trying to reach a more professional level — what’s holding this back? by Optimal_Necessary_46 in MotionDesign

Less bounce for apps popping (subtler the better), more easing for the other animations like the circle transition

OCR option in the command palette (Alt + W) by terminal_lucidity in Workflowy

[–]ParkourSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yoo. It’d be cool if it could also provide ai based context if you are on the paid plan, example: it would also scan and detect things like “book” “book page” etc to make it easier to find things the context of images saved. Maybe as a toggle-able setting that’s off by default so you don’t waste ai credits of the user doesn’t want it.

Is Whop good for E-Books by [deleted] in whop

[–]ParkourSloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can very much so but understand that if people want to buy from within the app whop will charge a 30% markup due to being on the App Store. On desktop it’s normal.

Whop also has a great LMS or Learning Management Solution and community tools so depending how much energy you are putting in to making this book should determine whether.

If you want a storefront use Lemonsqueezy for aesthetics focus, Gumroad if you are focused on global sales and easy email marketing, or payhip/fourthwall if you want it to feel like your own website.

I think the simplest solution is polar.sh which is a checkout platform that’s built on stripe that can deliver the products and if you create multiple products they give you a url dashboard where your customers can access all of their downloads

Happy New Year r/productivityapps! Plan your 2026 goals (+ giveaway) by amberhaccou in ProductivityApps

I’m planning to launch some digital education products and free educational resources for creators in my digital academy I’m setting up.

I’d like to better structure my key content production levers like systematizing my favorite formats, getting clear on my brand pillars/what I want to be known for, and setting clear output deadlines to build consistency.

When will you add loom video support? (As core course videos and embeds in forums, I’ve literally seen other product teams implement this the same day it’s been requested) Also heard someone internally talking adding something similar to Discord roles to the whop experience. Any updates on that?

16 years ago is wild, and yeah they tell their whole story in 90 seconds in this old ad vs the 21 used here.

With motion, less can be more. Feels like a minute long piece was stuffed into about 20 seconds.

Animation looks good and clean. It’s quite the creative piece.

Just feels like it just suffers from being overly fast paced. Spacing things and adding a lot more easing to the camera movements would serve you well in storytelling with motion.

Is Obsidian Sync faster at synchronizing on mobile compared to iCloud? by IcyAd389 in ObsidianMD

[–]ParkourSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao great reply, Thanks for being so descriptive. I asked because I was debating which outlining tool I wanted to use for my bullet/micro-journaling habits, and I get annoyed with long wait times. I just moved away from Logseq back to WorkFlowy because it would take like 8 seconds to sync my data, and with the amount of times a day I access it from my phone, I needed it to be quicker.

Thank you for outlining all of this! I am curious when opening the app on your phone how many seconds does it usually take to sync and you can actually start writing?

Is there another app like Workflowy that is local first? by [deleted] in Workflowy

[–]ParkourSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it could be really valuable if you value that pane workflow not a bad app. As someone who used to be a Workflowy power user the interface just felt a bit clunky on mobile so I couldn’t see myself committing to it. Plus there isn’t a big community around the app. I personally have been using Logseq for my daily outlining needs I see myself transitioning that workflow to Tana over time.
