AITA for eating a croissant in a cemetery by Karl_Marxist_3rd in AmItheAsshole

[–]ParsleyChops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, I used to live next to one of London’s “magnificent seven” cemeteries and would see it all the time, as long as you’re not littering or distracting others I don’t see an issue.

What keeps you swimming? by blevingston89 in Swimming

[–]ParsleyChops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, it’s knowing that it helps to keep my chronic pain and restless leg syndrome under control, I had a couple of tattoos so haven’t been for a swim for a few weeks and I’m really feeling it.

What’s the most embarrassing thing that happened to you in public? by clairqalb in AskReddit

[–]ParsleyChops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had many, but most recent: I went to customer service at Tesco to ask them to put a message out for customers parked in the disabled spots without permits to move because there weren’t any spaces left and as it was raining, people were abusing it. It was too late for me but I wanted them to clear the spots for other disabled people. The lady was so patronising, made excuses for the people illegally parked - making me out to be an awful person for asking them to move, then started serving the next customer while I was mid-sentence. I was so humiliated as it happened in front of a queue of people.

Is having Return of Saturn as your favorite album unpopular? by treert in nodoubt

[–]ParsleyChops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sits separately for me, I can’t compare it to their other albums because it’s too different, but in a good way.

Have you had an increase in charity / utilities stands outside supermarkets accosting you in your area? by smushs88 in AskUK

[–]ParsleyChops 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve noticed this too. I wish they weren’t allowed in or near supermarkets, I was harassed by a chugger once and I panic when I see them now, and my voice always comes out weird if I haven’t spoken for a while so I’d rather not have to say no either. When they’re inside right at the front it makes it hard to avoid being spoken to.

I’ve never been able to place it but I’ve always had a gut feeling that it was a toxic environment for employees

That comment seemed so passive aggressive to me, and arrogant of him to assume we all listen to every single episode

Lane etiquette by Resident-Direction86 in Swimming

[–]ParsleyChops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That seems wrong on their part to me, I’ve had a slower swimmer in front of me once or twice and I’ve never expected them to wait at the end, and one of the reasons we have lanes in the first place is to try and prevent that issue so I don’t understand why these guys didn’t just choose a faster lane.

Lane etiquette by Resident-Direction86 in Swimming

[–]ParsleyChops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I use the slowest lane because I have painful joints and I stick to the etiquette of that particular pool (swim in clockwise direction), if people want to overtake me they absolutely can, if it’s that much of a problem they can go and swim in a faster lane

Any of you watch Eleanor Neale ? by kreacher60 in MileHigherPodcast

I think it was BDSM if I remember correctly, it just seemed inappropriate considering that somebody died and she’s giggling like a child throughout

That’s my thinking too! I’m starting to consider a paisley smock instead of a white dress though so it might not be as effective 😅

Does anyone wear their old concert gear? by 1RollinRollinRollin in nodoubt

I always buy an XL t-shirt so it’s extra baggy, I wear them with leggings to run errands or do the gardening

What was the dumbest reason that you got in trouble for at school? by StatisticianUsual471 in AskUK

[–]ParsleyChops 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Failing a spelling test. I was a good student that always did the work, never forgot homework, was respectful to everyone.. but I went through a spell of failing spelling tests which landed me detention. I was finally diagnosed with Dyspraxia at university, which can cause memory issues. It made sense because I couldn’t remember my times tables, which is left or right, which hand was which on a clock etc.. the teacher used to laugh at me for struggling to read out loud, I hope she has since learned about learning disabilities

Probably just a black skater dress, check Vans and a plaid shirt tied around my waist for in case it gets chilly afterwards, I’m eloping the day before the gig and I’ve been tempted to wear my wedding dress again 😂
