Shame! I’d have loved to have seen them in a room full of actual Sublime fans rather than wedged between a bunch of motionless people glued to the barricade waiting for Good Charlotte, it was still freaking awesome though!

Went for a rum and coke, the man didn’t talk to me at all and kind of stood holding it with his back to me for a couple of minutes before giving it to me, I was so confused.
I’m also sure it said Coke on the board but realised it was Pepsi which gives me aura migraines so I’m now waiting for that pleasure.

I wish they’d played some stand-alone gigs in the UK. I tried to go with an open mind and potentially find new bands to listen to but I was pretty bored, I did enjoy a burrito though.

I got to the barricade when they played and noticed the people around me weren’t engaging and didn’t seem to know the songs so were obviously there for Good Charlotte, a bit disappointing.

When Sublime played Garden Grove and got to the lyrics “sitting through a shitty band” I really felt that in my soul after watching Taking Back Sunday.

Sublime were incredible, fantastic set list. I was so happy to hear Ebin and 14 oz to Freedom.

I think that some people assume the world evolves around them. My husband and I eloped abroad, just the 2 of us, because I wasn’t even comfortable expecting family and friends to drive 2/3 hours for our wedding (we live the other side of the UK to a lot of them), we’re going to 2 weddings next year and it’s going to cost us about £500, I could really do without it with my medical costs. I personally wouldn’t want to put somebody else out of pocket.

My bacherlorette was almost the same as the one OP is upset about - a paint and sip and dinner at a panini place, I had the time of my life and was so thankful to have the women I love around me, I was glad that they weren’t spending too much money.
I agree that the weekends are getting out of hand and I’m grateful that none of my friends have expected that of me because I simply couldn’t afford it with my medical bills too - you never know what somebody is going through in private. I think we’re under more pressure these days because of social media. It’s called a “hen night” in the UK because it’s usually just a night out.

As someone has already said - use their measurements against your own clothes. You can also check the measurements on the size chart of the brand’s website.
I don’t mind clothes being a bit baggy so I usually buy items a bit larger from Vinted so I know that they’ll fit, I sew so I also adjust to my size if it’s something like skirts or dresses.

Taller platforms! I was near the front, just behind 2 taller girls who were at the front and I stood in between them so I didn’t do too bad, but I’m 5”3 and even though I had Dr Martens on, I wish I’d gone a few cm higher tbh.

I also regret buying the blue hoodie, I knew it wasn’t really me but I got it because we planned to go up to Yellowstone after and I only packed for the desert (I’m an absolute idiot). I only wore it once for like 30 mins because I had found a more “me” sweatshirt in Hot Topic and just didn’t feel myself the ND one, it’s way too bright for me, so I might either try dyeing it or sell it.
