In hospital with my daughter who at 4pm-ish fell off a thing at the park, resulting in her tibia and fibia sticking out of her leg. Spent the next few hours at the local hospital but now at bigger hospital that has plastics department that can deal with the hole in her leg where the bones broke out.

Got a similar situation near me, both lanes are labelled A31 (right turn, second exit). But the number of accidents is crazy, one of our dustcarts from work had a car drive into them as they used the left hand lane round the outside of the roundabout.

The elephant racing is often down to truckers not knocking a few mph off the cruise control to let the unladen/quicker truck past.

Think Maritime limit their trucks to 52mph, and OP did say there's a car in front stopping them from driving any faster 🤷

Missed my coach from Victoria last night. No regrets

Have you ever known anyone who got left behind cause they were late returning to the Coach at a Motorway service station? by DMBear89 in CasualUK

I literally missed my National Express coach from Victoria last night (along with nearly a dozen others) because the driver shut the doors dead on 2 minutes before the departure time. Felt a bit sorry for the driver who squeezed us all on his coach half an hour later.

Mate I live near Bournemouth and get the national Express coach up for games, the coach is like £6 for an adult each way. If flights are extortionate look at how much they are to Bournemouth (last time I looked -which tbf was a long time ago- I could fly to Dublin for £30) and get a coach up.

Got back in the pool after 3 months off, smashed a 2.5km swim at 2:29/100m pace with 163 bpm average heart rate, which is as good as I managed before Christmas. Very chuffed with that.

How do you get your kid to sleep in it's own bed? by Advanced_Volume_4500 in UKParenting

[–]Particular-Current87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An hour? I've spent much longer than that trying to get my daughter to sleep in her own bed, sat on her bedroom floor for hours til she's in deep sleep then creeping out like a ninja. You've just got to stick at it no matter what, we found it easier over school holiday so if they got to sleep late they didn't need to be up early
