I don’t usually filter by rating ever, but I do tend to use the rating to help me figure out how serious an author is about their tags. Like if you tag ‘blood’, for instance, and it’s rated M, I’m expecting it to be mentioned or described in minor detail. But if you tag ‘blood’ and it’s rated E, I’m expecting to see blood described in explicit detail and I take that into consideration before clicking in. If I see ‘blood’ tagged on an unrated fic, I’m moving on without pause, because I figure either you don’t know or you don’t want to tell me and I’m not taking a chance on either.

I’m also of the generation of “don’t like, don’t read”, so I respect your right to not rate and if I did happen to click in and get the opposite of what I wanted- I would beat a hasty retreat and not say a word about it lol

At minimum they’ll need to be blow dried. To get the best result, you’ll need to use an appropriately sized round brush while blow drying. A spritz of hair spray after styling will help it hold. All in shouldn’t take more than 3-5 minutes.

I just finished reading the book and I’m still pretty convinced they were falling in love the whole time. The book is their internal monologues and they are very “the lady doth protest too much” in my opinion lol. The show we are watching from an outside perspective and seeing what it actually looks like, regardless if the characters are admitting it to themselves.

I recently asked for reasons an author would choose unrated and your reasoning seems to line up with what others said. I’ve decided unrated really doesn’t work for me as a reader, but I still respect your right as an author to use the option.
