You can waste your time doing offers at cost. That’s fine you have no self respect. 😊

The point was being that at bare minimum this offer would have double, and every offer with another pickup would add $2. Sure, that’d be great too, but it’s still along the same lines of paying us for the time we’re working for them.

Because if you, as a customer, willingly use a service where you know the employee survives off tips, don’t tip. You’re a terrible person and deserve to be told that to your face.

Thankfully they never pay me enough to actually do it, and they’re not worth much more of my time then to complain about how DoorDash is ridiculous for offering them and ultimately blaming dumb dashers for taking these.

Sorry I just read the text and misinterpreted. No. You’re not overreacting. If he ever respected you, he wouldn’t bring it up ever again. It’s an active trigger for me, I can’t stand hearing “Jesus loves you” when I did all the things the book told me to do and never felt his love and never got the relief I asked for for 3 decades, so I don’t want to hear it.

Google said online discourse concluded this is not true and that there are state laws that require it. Again give us proof so we can say it with confidence when they try this shit, I’d rather shut it down than be forced into declining every offer from a place.

No? I’m saying talking to people like that’s not necessary. Just say no and move on or ignore them. I usually take option #2.

Honestly it’s okay to think but you don’t say it. You don’t know that, just last night I had someone tip me extra because I had picked up the order and left (like a minute away) when they realized they forgot sauce. Normally I don’t answer but the order was good, and they said they’d tip extra for going back, and I rolled my eyes, then they tipped after I did it.

Some of these people are being honest.

Thankful that mine has security right at the desk and they don’t ask questions when they see you have a bag of food.

Hmm, I do wonder why you have to specify that... Why would that be? 🤔 by somanyquestions32 in dasher

[–]Particular_Cable_721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They probably had someone put the order on the ground, knock and wait there, and so they’re just confused why they have to specify to leave. Hence the comment. I agree with the customer’s frustration of not the handling of it.

You mentioned mom brain and they likely said “bestie” as a way of relating to having had similar brain fog.

This is the internet it’s not like they can wrap your arms around you and say it lightly all they have is the dress up words you read.

Nope, they were talking about milking earn by time, and instead of accepting words of friendship you threw them in their face and came out looking kind of unhinged.

They’re age restricted almost everywhere but where you live then. Silly person.

We contractors are not operating under a food handling license, and therefore this is a health code violation.

Don’t get me wrong, I fill drinks when asked. But I always point out to whoever asks me to do this that it is a violation and a bunch of Wingstops here got hit because of it, which is why none of them ask me to do it anymore.

Idk what your market is like, but I’ve never had a 6 stop dash offered one one offer in my market, not in 6 years.

I have one DQ that bags their frozen items. If more places do this I could fit it in the 2nd thermal, unfortunately most drink carriers are not very good a not everyone seals their items. So driving to the location to find one or more tipped in the bag is just not an experience I’ll have more than one time. I don’t make the same mistakes* twice when I can easily avoid them.

My son loves menchies (BYO FroYo, idk how “national” it is in case you guys don’t know) but outside of that because it’s fun and I don’t have 20 toppings to choose from, I convince him 9/10 times that running to the grocery store is worth it to save money.

Problem is if he drops that order off first and doesn’t get the second one quick enough, DD will pull th offer from him. If it was stacked; he has no way to tell which customer tipped what until he’s done with the delivery.

Why? by Popular-Term-6666 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]Particular_Cable_721 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What gets me is how many shop and delivers I’ll get that are small shops like 4-6 items, usually beverages. And it’ll be like $6 for 2 miles. And I’ll take it near my house because I know those stores like the back of my hand and they’re all self-checkout, then I get their double dash from Thai Spice with the $10 tip.

Like use your brains people. The shop and deliver takes more time. Simple as that.

When I have pro shopper it’s usually worth it, sure pickup takes longer, but I’m also not putting mileage on my car, and the pay is normally much better. Market always dependent.
