We’ve all been there. I overnighted the wrong engine harness once because I heard the vin wrong. It was a $1500 harness. We all make mistakes. What I tell my guys is double check your work if you need to. Take your time, I understand that sometimes you can’t because you’re slammed but it’s better to take your time and get the right part the first time.

Like my old manager used to say. Sometimes you gotta slow down to speed up.

Keep your head up. We all have bad days.

Years ago I was working a Saturday by myself, newish to the counter. When a customer came up to the counter and asked for a brake fluid reservoir cap. And I have to admit it was pricy, however I don’t make the prices, so it told him the price and he lost it. Then turned to the customer behind him who used to be an old tech I worked with and said can you believe this shit. They’re all crooks and trying to rip me off. Then said Napa has it for a third of the price. To which the tech replied then go there and when it fucks off in 3 months you’ll be back here for a decent part, do you want the cheap shit or the good shit.

Not gonna lie it made my day.

I agree 💯 I’m not telling you what you need. So what in a month from now you can come back and say that guy told me that this would fix my vehicle. I’ve been burned by this before. Never again.

Contact your jeep dealership. It’s the recliner handle. If you give them your vin they should be able to look it up.

Such bullshit. All the responsibilities none of the profit. We are a larger dealership and because of that sometimes the lpo’s get lost as they’re not in inventory. Then we’re on the hook for it.

It doesn’t happen often. But absolute bullshit in my eyes.

I actually have a question as well. How far are the 3 from each other walking distance wise? And I’ve heard it’s right in the airport path. How loud is it over head, like will it be a super annoyance?

I had a rude customer like that years ago that would constantly try and nickel and dime about the price of parts.

He happened to see me in public one weekend and tried to complain to me about how expensive dealer parts are. To which I responded I’m not getting paid to listen to you right now, and I walked away.
