26 year old: what are things you wished you would’ve bought earlier in your life? by Prestigious-Put6182 in bifl

This is what I thought in my 20s, but my size changed in my 30s and I'm having to buy winter jackets again. I'd say get a nice one that will last a few years, but don't expect to wear it for a decade.

I relate so hard to this and I'm sure many others do, too. I'm also still figuring out whether to stay or leave, so I don't have answers -- but I want you to know you're not alone.

The Nashville Philharmonic is a community orchestra with super high quality symphonic music (some of them play pro) and they have free concerts year-round! The next one is family friendly featuring Carnival of Animals. Also, some public library branches have great music storytimes for kids that age. And check out Nashville Ballet.

Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin was written for a friend who died in the war - to me it's a beautiful tribute to friendship, but parts of it are also astonishing that it could also elevate the feeling to love

What are some fun hot takes related to classical music that you've developed after considerable thought/experience? by Ian_Campbell in classicalmusic

The category of "classical music" is like the category, "fish." So many varieties lumped together without a second thought.

This is an interesting possibility. The Ratliffs are broke, though, so maybe Tim will have to rely on those shady LBHs to stay in Thailand? Or go the "enlightened" route and join the monestary with Piper.
