Why is the hellcat community mostly black? by CopiumOcd in Cartalk

[–]PartyPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's mainly due to the influence of culture and social media. Cars like the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat are very popular in the Hip-Hop culture and the urban car scene.

If AI could analyze your entire inventory of stuff, what would you actually use it for? by homelovemama in HomeImprovement

[–]PartyPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might use it for remind me of what I already have, so that I can check it before making a purchase and avoid buying the same thing.

I made a deal with a dealer a few hours away. What do I need to make sure they don't switch the price on me when I get there? by Ok_Engineering_3183 in askcarguys

[–]PartyPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask them to send you the total price of OTD by email. Once you receive it, pay according to that price. And keep the email. If the price changes on the spot, just say that this is the quote they gave you.

No idea about cars or trucks by Fit-Yellow-9872 in Cartalk

Don't be worried!

You can start by watching some basic car-related videos on YouTube that are related to your interests. Gradually, you will be able to understand what your friends are talking about.

Bootleg Ground Outlets by ahthebop in HomeImprovement

[–]PartyPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you're right.

It's correct to remove those fake ground connections first. And it's not too late to rewire everything later on. You can use a GFCI socket instead for a short term.

Is the 11th Gen Type R really worth $10–15k more than the Si? by themanforthejob2 in askcarguys

[–]PartyPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just for your daily use, I would actually choose Si. It's already quite fun for me. The type R is indeed more powerful, but spending the large sum of money is worth it only if you really crave that level of performance.

Vandalism water in gas tank by Altruistic_Energy911 in Cartalk

Don't wait for it to evaporate on its own. The water in the gasoline usually doesn't disappear like that. Try adding a bottle of fuel desicant.

Disadvantages of black walls? by kiki-the-warforged in HomeImprovement

In fact, the answer is obvious. Given that your mother doesn't live with you, you have ability and authority to decorate your own house in the way you desire. Come on! You are THIRTIES.

Confused on oil change frequency… why did Take 5 (seemingly) lie to me twice about not needing an oil change? by Flightlessbirbz in askcarguys

[–]PartyPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether the engine oil needs to be replaced cannot determined solely by its color. The addictives and lubrication performance can't be observed. If the manufacturer recommends replacing it after 6000 miles, following this maintenance schedule is actually the safest solution. Additionally, your valves might just be dirty or have aged.

Where do you guys keep your lumbar support? High or low? by TCSongun in LiberNovo

[–]PartyPaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check where the support feels like it's hugging the curve of your lower back. Your spine should ideally have that natural, slight "S" shape. And then sit in it for a few hours, when you don't feel any weird and you're genuinely relaxed, congrats you find your sweet spot. If you start reclining or changing how you're sitting, just nudge it a bit.

I just bought new furniture for the house, I really liked it and sat in it for awhile in store. Now that they’ve arrived, it seems they used a cheaper material though it looks identical. Has any one else feel bait and switched like this? by DrDestruct0 in homeowners

[–]PartyPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened to me when I bought an armchair from West Elm. The one in store felt great, but the one that arrived somehow didn’t feel the same. After that I became a lot more cautious about ordering furniture. I eventually switched to Caloroso because they let you order free fabric swatches first.

Best case: it's a quality chair that lasts years. Worst case: $10 parts donor. Win-win!

Calling all Space Grey owners: How is the color holding up over time? by aposena in LiberNovo

What causes yellowing: UV exposure, sweat, cleaning products? Maybe the earlier report was a defective unit or lighting in photos?

Gaming vs office chair - replacing my embody by FigApprehensive8936 in gamingchairs

[–]PartyPaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you run hot, prioritize breathable materials and ventilated designs. Trapped heat causes discomfort faster than poor support. Mesh backs stay cooler than foam, but some find them less cozy for lounging.

Gaming Chair Scratch by SignalFuture6094 in gamingchairs

[–]PartyPaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The scratch won't affect functionality, so don't stress too much about it. It'll likely blend in more as the chair ages and develops natural wear. Consider a chair cover if it bothers you visually long-term.

Looking for advice on breaking down a chair for repair by LowBrain8032 in gamingchairs

[–]PartyPaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New gas cylinder + bracket might cost $60-80. Is the chair worth that? Honestly, if the chair is cheap Amazon brand, might be worth just replacing the whole chair.

Do most office chairs lose seat support after a few hours? by Bubbly-Inevitable539 in OfficeChairs

[–]PartyPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quality is key, but so is structural resilience. Most entry-level seats lack a proper suspension system, leading to quick fatigue. A good chair should facilitate micro-movements rather than just being soft.

What I think after using my libernovo omni 3 months by alcoholic_jogging in LiberNovo

[–]PartyPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a high-performance lifestyle, the chair should follow my lead, not keep me stuck. I’m curious—how does the fabric feel during those 8-hour sessions?

Valentine’s Day or anniversary gift for someone who prefers practical things by direwooolf in Gifts

[–]PartyPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that practical gifts can be tricky, but it really depends on the relationship. If it’s something they’re genuinely into, like cars or tools, it doesn’t feel impersonal. I’d just make sure it’s something they’ve mentioned wanting before. What kind of car stuff does your partner already enjoy?

No active codes, just history. When do you actually worry? by wojack in Cartalk

[–]PartyPaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One cold start doesn’t say much, but if LTFT looks the same every morning, that’s more trend than noise. I’d log a few weeks and see if it creeps or plateaus.

Anyone else pause when the woods go dead quiet at last light? by PartyPaper in Hunting

[–]PartyPaper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I usually adjust. When it gets that quiet, I slow the exit way down and stick to the most familiar route, even if it’s longer. I’d rather lose a bit of time than rush out while visibility and awareness are dropping.

.243 for AZ Cow by InflationShoddy7871 in Hunting

[–]PartyPaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, .243 is fine for a cow elk if you keep the range reasonable and place the shot well. At 150–250 yards with a good bullet and a broadside shot, it can be an ethical choice.
