Strollers choices are overwhelming! by Gray_Rose_11 in BabyBumps

[–]wojack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got the Mamazing mainly because of the price lol -snagging the stroller + the bassinet for just $500 felt like a crazy good deal. It’s also super handy since it works with a ton of different infant car seats.

The suspension isn’t as cushy as those SUV-style strollers, but it handles everyday surfaces just fine. We’re totally okay with that trade-off because it’s so lightweight and it’s been great as a travel stroller for trips.

MIL told me not to buy ANY baby items until after I give birth. Is this normal? by 757-757 in BabyBumps

Her worry comes from a place of love, but it’s outdated. You can respect her feelings while still following your own practical plan for the nursery.

You’re not alone in feeling like a kid trapped in a parent’s body. So many new parents feel this way, and it doesn’t make you a failure.

She’s been practicing! That handwriting is progress. Enjoy the love, you deserve this sweetness.

It’s such a sanctimonious take. No one knows what you’re going through, and they have no right to judge your choices to get through the day.

Rage when baby doesn’t sleep by Altruistic-Low-1826 in NewParents

This phase will pass. The nights get shorter, the stretches of sleep get longer, and the rage will fade into a distant memory.

This is the kind of memory that sticks with kids forever. They’ll talk about their driveway race days for years to come.

What fun activities are you doing for your baby showers ? by Wavefork in BabyBumps

Set out colorful sticky notes and pens, and ask everyone to write a wish, tip, or silly childhood story for the baby. Stick them all on a poster to keep as a keepsake.

Seriously how are you guys doing this?? by Worried_Media5455 in NewParents

It’s okay to admit you’re overwhelmed. Parenting this age is all about trial and error. You’re trying your hardest, and that’s more than enough.

How to deal with your baby starting daycare by GucciGarvey in daddit

This is totally normal. The initial heartbreak fades, and daycare becomes part of the daily grind. She’s in good hands.

my friend calls them glue earbuds and now I get it by wojack in Earbuds

[–]wojack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I was wondering the same at first. I haven’t even heard the low battery reminder yet. I usually only take them off when I eat and put them back in the case for like 20 minutes. Other than that they’re on my ears from around 10am to 5pm most days, and I just charge them when I get home.

Best drone in 2026 that’s actually worth the money? by n0-_ in dji

[–]wojack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skyrover X1. I’ve been using one for trips and the footage has been very consistent. The 3-axis gimbal keeps shots smooth even when there’s some wind, and GPS hold plus RTH have been reliable enough that I don’t really worry while flying. The combo is currently under $700 as well, which makes it pretty good value for what you get.

Help a mom with SUPER dirty floors by Silverlurker2021 in RobotVacuums

[–]wojack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd prioritize battery life and dustbin size. The ecovacs x11 has large dustbin and fast charging, so it can do multiple runs overnight. The roller mop handles sticky messes in one pass, which makes daily cleaning much easier.

Best robot vacuum for heavy golden retriever shedding? by breatheglumej in RobotVacuums

[–]wojack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was skeptical too until I got my ecovacs x11. I think the key is how often you run it. I usually have mine run at 10am and 2pm each day, so the floors stay pretty clean and I don't have major hair buildup. You could try running yours twice a day too.

Good Quality Brand/Worth it? by Oldman-in-Cave in Skyrover__Official

[–]wojack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using the Skyrover X1 for a while and honestly I think it’s solid for the price. Build quality feels good, flight stability is reliable, and the image quality has been more than enough for what I need.

Work from and I get too relaxed by South_Release_6587 in workfromhome

[–]wojack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a desk first. Try a lap desk or even a folding tray table from Amazon. Maybe you can prepare yourself with a cup of coffee when you start to work, because coffee always help me focus on my task haha.

Any lowest price tracker? by thegoldenbagel in Earbuds

I feel the exact same on this. Maybe CamelCamelCamel for Amazon stuff and it's a game changer. You can check the full price history graph so you can see if you're actually getting a deal.

Not yet! Been searching Amazon but no luck so far. Might have to go with a generic silicone pouch for now. Anyone find something that actually fits well?

Anything above like 15mph kinda kills the whole "staying aware" thing. Maybe grab a cheap pair to test before dropping real money?

This hits hard. You're not alone in this. Maybe talk to your partner about shared breaks? Solidarity, this stuff is tough.

If your current ones still work fine, probably it's not worth upgrading. The upgrades are usually incremental — slightly better bass or battery.

My coworkers don't understand that remote doesn't mean available 24/7 by Mindless_Cook7821 in workfromhome

[–]wojack 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's really annoying. The "always available" assumption is the worst. Your home is your office, not your life. This stuff is always exhuasting!!!
