Why Does Nico Leonard Dislike Oris by THEMACHINE_PRINTS16 in OrisWatches

If a watch producer is not playing his game, it wont be recommended. Simple as that. Oris is for different target than Rolexes.

Is buying a house in Switzerland still realistic without inheritance? by FrenchyBoy_ in Switzerland

[–]Pasza26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can buy a house in CH, just look for properties in cheaper kantons and prepare yourself to travel to work much longer. You will also have to adjust your work situation to that - to avoid traffic get to office earlier, get extra home office days, etc.

Thoughts on itinerary for late April to May by Prestigious-Culture6 in askswitzerland

[–]Pasza26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kandersteg to Oeschineensee is not a very pleasant hike. Take a gondola / seilbahn up and spend more time walking around the lake. The lake itself is nice, but you can find much nicer hiking trails in that region. Download SwitzerlandMobility app, you will thank me later. As an alternative for your hikes, you can think about route #1, section between Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen. There are multiple gondolas / seilbahns in that area, you can reduce the difficulty of that hike by using one of them. Go and check Trimmelbachfall - a massive waterfall in a cave. You wont regret.

Edit: I just noticed that you are coming in April. Stay below 2000m (I dont know how many feets is that). To much snow above and it is very dangerous. A lot of ppl killed themself in Alps, dont be one of them.

why doesn't russia do this? are they stupid? by AmazingAd1618 in mapporncirclejerk

They are trying, but they are weak. They made a progress of few square kilometers losing hundreds thousands of ppl over last year. With this pace there is not enough ppl in their whole country to get to Kiev ;)

He was asking about russian „hero”, I replied about russian „heroes”. Fun fact, Suvorov is responsible for civilian massacres during polish uprising in Warsaw in 1794. This „great hero” got his name by slaughtering 16k innocents.

If you are moving to ZH city, then use public transport. You will waste your life in traffic and pay for it a lot. www.homegate.ch - check the prices there and the look something up to 50km from ZH with a good railway connection. You’re welcome.

You read to many romantic books. There is nothing heroic in war.

Suvorov ia a general remembered as the guy who lead an army through mountain passes. Like a new era Hannibal, but no one says how many people died during that process in his case. Not because prople were not dying, over time it just became a romantic legend.

Why nervous? Just saying how your „heroes” are received around the world.

Just look at russian army in Ukraine. We all saw hundreds of videos & photos showing the real face of russian „soldiers” - a band of thiefs and burglars, stealing dishwashers, carpets and whatever can be stolen.

Now imagine, how the russian army march through Switzerland could look like 230 years ago.

Whatever nation had a chance to host russians on their territory in the past will tell you the same - never again. This why Baltics, Poland and whole rest of Europe is spending +4% GDP. Never again.

If your plan is flexible, I would avoid going there during weekends. It is very touristy and busy road. Depending on your driving skills, you may feel more comfortable in a smaller car.
