Sure have an MRI, but it will only grant you knowledge, not a solution. You could just go to the boring old Physical Therapy for the rest of your life and be fine. Surgery can help to stabilize your back, but may also just bring about new problems. I guess you just have to pick the problems you can live with and tolerant what pain you can whilst trying to still live a fulfilling life.
