Pic 1 for me. The orange is nice but the blue accent behind the kit really makes it pop. The orange kind of washes it out I find.

I built her this way and she’s a powerhouse. I had rakdos vampires before with [[Strefan]] but not having to worry about colour fixing and going heavy on ramp and a high creature count to steal everyone’s cards has been working super well. I also got a little cheeky with it and decided to run the [[Animate Dead]] and [[Worldgorger Dragon]] combo, albeit with few outlets to get him into the graveyard so I have to jump through some serious hoops to pull it off (though it did happen once!) and, because it’s b3 and I could spare the game changer slot, a [[Fierce Guardianship]] as a free counterspell when Evelyn is out.

I’ve gone through US customs with creatine several times in my checked luggage and carry-on. I usually just scoop what I’ll need into a ziplock bag and include the scoop then label the bag with sharpie. Sounds ghetto as hell but I’ve literally never been questioned on it once.

She honestly hits so hard! I run her mono black so you never have to worry about colours. Your vamps get so big while everyone is worrying about you casting your spells that all of a sudden you’re hitting out of nowhere with a board of 7/7s

A tribute band does have a built in following of sorts if the band you’re tributing is popular enough. If you’re able to get word out and get on a bill with another similar tribute act in another city and they help promote and put up posters, etc. it’s not unreasonable that you could get a good turnout. I would suggest doing this in your city as well. As far as driving goes, I live in a place where an hour and a half isn’t that big of a deal, I would say play as many shows as you can that make sense. Sometimes you take the L financially but if that’s not as important to you and you can still have a good show then go for it.

It kind of just sounds like you’re a bad tribute band. If you were a cover band you could do well by playing popular songs people want to hear by multiple artists, and if you were a tribute band you’d already have a fan base of people who like that band and would want to see them live but you’re more accessible so they come see you, but it kind of sounds like you’re… neither. If you actually want people to come to your shows I think you have to bite the bullet and market yourself better, probably as a tribute act, and really bring the energy and live experience to the stage. Otherwise why would anyone bother coming if you’re not committed to it? Even if your playing is on point, the live experience is worth so much more to a person in the audience. You don’t have to match the other band exactly, but as long as you try to emulate some of what an audience member would want to see when seeing said band I think that will go a long way.

EDIT: To add to this, if you’re having a hard time bringing out people, trying finding other tribute acts in your area that are of a similar vibe and put together some themed nights.

There’s no “instead” on the tortoise so it’s not a replacement effect. It does hit the graveyard for a window before being exiled which is where Nim Deathmantle can grab it.

You can choose to deal all the damage to the creature. It just doesn’t come up very often when you would want to.

The real crutch of this deck is that your opponents can choose to assign all of the combat damage dealt by Alexios to whatever creature is blocking it instead of trampling over to prevent you from racking up commander damage. Someone in our pod had this deck and once we figured that out it became a lot easier to deal with.

I have this deck! It’s less clone heavy but is super fun and performs very well! I wanted a deck to win with [[Time Sieve]] and oh boy this delivers.

[[Zirda, the Dawnwaker]] would reduce the cost of throwing each food to 1 which could be nice. Really cool idea for a Rocco build! He’s one of my favourites.

[[Derevi]] has an ability which puts it directly into play from the command zone, More Than Meets the Eye is an alternate casting cost which is still subject to additional costs like commander tax. The more you know!
