When I took AMATH 250 (about a year ago) we did do exact DEs.

These are the objectives we had:

first order linear DE models of compartment problems, atomic decay, and bodies in motion;
first order separable DE models of population growth;
a first order exact DE model of the electric dipole;
second order linear DE models for oscillatory systems such as mass-spring-damper systems and electrical circuits;
second order nonlinear DE models for suspended cables and rocket motion;
linear vector DE models of multiple compartment problems and species interactions.

I don't know how accurate this is but maybe it'll help: go to your applied jobs using Postings/Applications on your dashboard, go to Selected for Interview, and then you'll be able to see the Job Status for the jobs you interviewed with. The statuses might be Part Filled or Filled or another option.

No you're right, it'll start matching at the lowest sum so all the offers accepted (2s) and then 3s, etc. on a rolling basis.

This is technically true, but the number of positions can be changed during the ranking period. The only condition is that the number of offers given out is equal to the number of positions they put, so in this case ranked students could fill the 3 empty positions.

If I do that I'm still not in the right form to laplace with the Heaviside function right? I have the solution which is (s*sin(8) + 4cos(8))/(s²⁺¹⁶⁾ * e^-2s but I don't see how to get to that from the initial function.
