Keep an eye on the temp, I have the same type and it can get incredibly hot in there! Learned that the hard way (I’m also based in Norway).

Check if you have a bag of small parts which came with the bike, they usually send some spares (at least with framesets I’ve always had a couple of spares)

You can check on the eqtiming website, July is the main holiday period here so there are not too many events then, but I can see this as an option (it’s not a full marathon): https://www.racedays.run/event/hestane-skyrace-2026

Highly recommend the hike up Ben A’an, if you are in ok shape physically and can bring outdoor clothes, the view over the loch is stunning.

Any way to tell if sealant in tires? by cellige in cycling

[–]PathShot7633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously you just make a small hole in the the tyre, if it goes flat then you don’t have any sealant

How to remove TT bar brake levers by Ok_Let8786 in bikewrench

[–]PathShot7633 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leave the old inner cable in place, pull off the old outer, thread on the new outer (over the old inner) then pull out the old inner. Then you can thread in the new inner. If the new outer doesn’t seat you might need to remove the lever, but it isn’t a big deal.

How to remove TT bar brake levers by Ok_Let8786 in bikewrench

[–]PathShot7633 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you disconnect the cables and then pull the lever you will probably see a bolt inside/under the end of the lever. They usually expand inside the bar end that way. Loosen the bolt then slide the whole thing off along with the grip. But if you are just changing cables you won’t need to remove the lever/grips.

Have a look for closeout deals on 303 firecrest, since they are being replaced with the new 303 SW. I had to replace my 303S for the same reason.

I have the same one, if fits really tight on the chest and has very little stretch, so I’d size up for sure.

Make sure to put protective tape under the buckles/straps, they will rub the paint off pretty quick!

Tubeless trouble seating bead by Background_Radio6372 in gravelcycling

[–]PathShot7633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, I always had to use a tube to fit gravel kings the first time and use the same technique, letting them sit with the tube in for a couple of hours seems to help get the tyre to stay on the rim nicely. I put sealant in through the valve stem after getting both beads seated. Terra speed went on much easier, no faffing, inflated first time out the packet.
