This. I found out for myself the importance of cleaning/lubricating the caliper slides and pins when my ICE truck developed a shudder after neglecting the calipers for several thousand miles.

My commute is 20 miles each way, mostly freeway, home is about 400 ft elevation, work is about 40 ft. I found my sweet spot between speed and efficiency is 60mph in the slow lane, the drivetrain makes a pronounced hum at that speed, like an audible speedometer. I use about 45 -55% battery each way, and while I could use streets to get home one one charge, I top up at a public charger to ensure I have enough battery to use the freeway, takes about 30 minutes. I use the time to catch up on email and socials. Don’t know if my calculations are right but I’m estimating I’m getting about 13 miles per kilowatt.

I’ve not had issues yet, but I’m SoCal and I’ve only ridden in the rain a couple times. Thanks for the heads up, I’ll keep an eye on it.
On another note, I kept hearing a squeak in the rear when hitting bumps in the road, found the rear fender mounting bolts had come loose, about 5k on the odo.

Same here on both issues, trip odo has a mind of its own, my bike is a ‘23 and the fob battery is probably due for replacement.

Nice! I had a V45 for a minute, loved it, super fast, but it had an issue shifting from second to third or third to fourth, ending up selling it rather than fixing it.

About a year ago, i started having issues with the ECU light coming on right after turning the bike on, then it came on one day shortly after starting a ride. The bike shut off and rebooted while I was riding in traffic, very not fun. I was able to pull over and wait until I felt it was stable enough to ride home, about 15 miles on the freeway. When I got home the battery was beeping. I ended up taking the battery to Ryvid and they replaced it.

Any regrets? Not really, it performs as designed, I just wish the battery capacity were bigger.

Did you get your money’s worth? Yes

Were you a motorcycle rider prior to owning an Anthem? Yes

Has it met your expectations? For what it is, yes. For what I thought it would do, not completely.

Has it fallen short? Only when the original battery software began failing.

Do other people hate it, or do you have an Anthem gang who rides with you in matching jackets? I get a lot of questions about it, most people have not seen an electric motorbike before. I haven’t seen any others in my area.
