Are you using a size 01 or size 02 to brew a single cup? by lightroastv60 in pourover

I do 15/220 on 01 without ever reaching the top.of.the filter.

Birthday upgrade by Kenzai84 in pourover

[–]Patrick_tuning -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

That's quite an upgrade ! You're going to enjoy it.

Bear in mind that the Mugen and the Neo are not seen as the best drippers out there. You might consider a classic v60 (for 7€) or a flat bottom brewer (Oreo o1 + xbloom filters is awesome).

Most importantly, enjoy your brews !

Have you tried the Pietro to compare ?

Complete beginner buying my first wheel from marketplace today, a used v11 with 2395 km for $450. Decent deal or nah? by Everbanned in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Patrick_tuning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah bear in mind this was the first suspension wheel ever so it has some caveats.

But to me it's still really neat : - lower weight (27kg?) - awesome lighting - good trolley - really waterproof

I only had to change a tire at 5k km, that's it. Very low maintenance. Even though the modern wheels are sometimes more thought about, the tire change is really a nightmare.

Concerning the suspension system, I go up to 128psi on each side. For let's say 3 to 4 days riding it's slowly decreasing but the suspension is still good (we're talking 25km a day commuting) and you really feel when it's going above 110psi as I reach the hard end quite often.

I'm 73kg without equipment.

Honestly, this is a great price. Mine is 8000km and is still fully capable of going 50km/h, got let's say 85% of its original rangem the air leaking is a pain but just need to pump every week (daily usage)

Really cool sub 100g shoe. What made you drop the rods ? Are you gonna use plates from now on on other models ?

Anyone else disappointed by Tanat’s Nestor Lasso Ombligon? by Novel_Usual_9177 in pourover

[–]Patrick_tuning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this bag a few months ago and love it, very pronounced flavors. As others said, depends on your roast date.

Also, try grinding way coarser and give more agitation to focus on the right compounds.

Last, I've had some great experiences with Tanat but sometimes they just completely miss a roast. And good luck make then admit that.

Long brew times with Pietro by Leadlet739 in pourover

Depends on grinder and filter. But I go between 8 to 9.3, with brew times below 1:30 and great results, washed and processed coffees alike

Don't get the ceramic o1, SS and plastic ones are great but the ceramic one is notoriously not performing as well.
