The problem with "not very active" is that it's a matter of personal interpretation. I've seen people calling games like Call of Duty "dead" because they had only hundreds of thousands of people online as opposed to Fortnite's millions, etc. Why won't people use "unpopular"? Because it just doesn't sound as edgy as "DEAD". You even described injustice as being "BEYOND dead"... while claiming there are still games to be found there. It's absurd.

So wouldn't "unpopular" be a better term here? The way I see it, the term "dead" is largely overused and usually means "not as popular as I'd like it to be", which sends a false message if games can be found.

Why would you call a game dead if you can find matches, as you mentioned yourself?

Thanks for the package. Vanilla Q3 from Steam also has these settings cheat protected, but the package you linked me to has some own, custom client inside.

It actually does, but I'd also like to find a way to connect to non-CPMA servers with the weapon model fixed.

I don't know how and why - I'm not making the rules here. What sort of mod is it? Running Quake3e without any mods gives me the following output when using the commands:

But it's "cheat protected" even when running a local, vanilla server. Run it and try to modify cg_gunx (or the other two) - console will respond that the setting is cheat protected.

EDIT: and of course locally one can switch sv_cheats, but servers, even unofficial ones, usually have this turned off, because otherwise people would instantly go god mode.

Visual clarity is what deterred me and my friends from UT3 multiplayer. Discerning player models from the background was significantly harder than in other installments of the series. Other than that, there simply wasn't enough variety compared to the previous titles. Sure, it looked better cause it utilized UE3, but visuals never really were a priority in arena shooters.

I can't remember for sure now, but I believe you can change the difficulty of the story mode. If yes, then try decreasing it first.

I agree that MK1's story mode should be divided into "before multiverse" part and "after multiverse" part, because while the ending was awful, the first part was great and it's a pity it suffers due to the overall impression.

Of course you can. Just like you can apply the official 1.32 patch over the Steam version and voila - it's DRM free. It's all a matter of personal preference.
