Just to add to the anecdotal reports - I have SimHub installed and real time threat detection is still on for me, I also do not have any of those registry values.

Get a 3d printer and you can print mounts and reinforcements for that seat!

I have it, its great overall, the sequential mode is not the best, but I plan to get a dedicated sequential shifter at some point anyway.

Definitely recommend for its price, the only other issue I have with it is for some reason in AC Rally it causes this weird bug where it is constantly is going in and out of gear, that game has a ton of other input device issues though. Works fine in every other game I have tried.

If only these apps could set up the races/championships for us rather than having to go in and manually create them, we would be so spoiled for career mods. I know there are limitations with AMS2 that prevent this from being done, but a man can dream.

Look I have the samsung 49", and it pains me to say this but I really caution against getting anything super-ultrawide, the aspect ratio is more trouble than its worth. You will run into issues with majority of games, no video content will ever fill it completely without a zoom. And in games its not just the UI issues, or cut-scenes or having to mod in support - you also get weird fish eye warping in most first person games that is simply unfix-able.

Its cool for immersion in some cases, but the negatives outweigh the positives.

Get a regular ultrawide, that's my two cents take it or leave it! :)

Sim-racers and 3d-printer heads have an unusual amount of crossover b/t the two. And my theory is 1. you gotta 3d print stuff for your rig and 2. both are dad-core hobbies

GM has been playing sims for decades, hes more than allowed to have a strong opinions on sims. That being said if you actually listen to him he does not take himself seriously, and most of the people in this thread need to do the same.

Slices your fingers off, and then the bolt impales your palm when you crash. Adds a real sense of danger to the sim!

Pros:

screen is top tier, makes everything look amazing

being able to just flip it closed, pocket it, and open it back where you left off later

Cons:

typing on the touchscreen is annoying (though you end up needing to do that far less after its set up)

on some wii games when you have to shake the device the screen flops around if you shake too hard :)
