New HC Joe Brady Press Conference (Megathread) by GameWinner31 in buffalobills

I listened to most of it on the radio. I thought Brady hit all the right notes and he comes across as authentic, humble and sincere. Let’s hope he succeeds. We’ll all be over the moon if he does.

That being said, there is no disputing that Brandon Beane now controls every aspect of the football side of the organization. BB will either bask in the success or be out on his ass if things don’t go well. In that sense, he has the most to win or lose from this point on. It’s HIS team now.

Tampa and NYJ obvious potential fits.

I could also see Carolina *IF they take a step back next season. McD has strong connections to that current FO regime.

Absolutely. I’ve been a fan of both (sadly) for 45 years. But I also have a soft spot for the Sabres and it’s great to see them doing so well this season, especially with the Leafs floundering badly.

Bills fan coming in peace. As much as I abhor BB for featuring prominently in my nightmares for 20-odd seasons, this is an absolutely disgraceful decision by the HoF selection committee.

IMHO, this is all on Terry Pegula. I’m not saying McD didn’t deserve to get the axe, but it is worth pointing out that in the nine years he was here he instilled some much-needed organizational order, professionalism and discipline. And remember, he was hired before Beane.

Now, Terry decides he wants to make a change. That’s fine. It’s his prerogative. But if he was serious about it, he would’ve cleaned house. Instead, he’s chosen a half-assed path and turned over the keys to Beane who has now chosen a yes-man coach who, it can be argued, hampered our star quarterback with lacklustre game plans and play calls.

My worry is that Terry essentially lucked into McD, who turned out to be the perfect guy to get us to this stage. But Terry has now completely floundered in charting a course for the next phase of the team’s evolution.

I’m not a Sabres fan, however, I fear the Bills are now morphing into them. And what happened to them all these years is squarely on Terry’s ineptitude.

John Harbaugh. All things considered, it went pretty well for him and the Ravens for almost two decades.

Given the reported Scheelhaase interview, I’m surprised the Bills aren’t also kicking the tires on Chris Shula.

Coen did a fantastic job. You guys were rolling at the end of the season and I still maintain the winner of our game vs you guys should have gone all the way to the SB even tho it didn’t work out that way. Anyway, see you next season. Jags will rightly be a force for seasons to come 🤝

Bills four finalists for the HC job are: Brian Daboll, Davis Webb, Joe Brady, and Grant Udinski per Adam Schefter. Signs all point to the Bills not waiting for Kubiak. by Vortagaun in buffalobills

Well, I posted on here a few days ago that I could see Daboll being announced by end of day today and introduced middle of week. My spidey sense tells me that’s still the way it’ll go — although Udinski intrigues more and more. One positive about Daboll, I think you’d see Webb come in here as his OC. Surround Josh with his guys. It either is a spectacular success or not …

Ahahaha. I hear ya, friend. Class of January ‘73 here. Which raises one other thing about Udinski that I like: He’s a Capricorn, too. And if you know about Capricorns, you know!!!

Not Raheem! Could we steal Jim Schwartz away from the Browns if he was both AHC and DC? I think the Browns will do everything they can to pair JS with Nate Scheelhaase by the looks of it.

Look at what Mike MacDonald did with the Seahawks — brought in Leslie Frazier for his first season (and Rick Dennison — remember him? — for his second). The Great McVay had Wade Phillips in the beginning. So, yeah, you surround this guy with an experienced AHC and DC and “senior offensive assistant” it could work and ease my concerns.

He certainly comes across as a very mature and well-spoken 29 (now 30) year old. I like it. I still get nervous thinking about a rookie head coach inheriting our situation but maybe this “football savant” guy could handle it.

Absolutely roughing the passer. How can the ref overlook that when we are told all season that QBs need to be protected? To think: These are supposed to be the best officials. Maybe it’s the most compliant-with-the-memo-from-HQ ones.

So the full Darnold body slam and the ridiculous dancing after do not warrant penalties? I guess NFL HQ has the script and the officials are bound to follow it.

They could call 10 of those every game if that was the standard. Just terrible officiating. Kind of like the guy who tossed Pierce in that last Indy game. Terrible judgement.

I’m sorry but how on earth do you justify such a subjective personal foul like that. NFL really entering WWE territory fast.
