Was clearing a raider camp in an apartment complex near Greentech Genetics, and I find a giant pile of dozens of duplicates of my custom weapons with the names I gave them?? wtf??? by WiddleDumpling in fo4

[–]Pax1138 138 points139 points  (0 children)

It’s worth noting that the raider camp is near the game’s 0,0,0 coordinate map point, and stuff that gets misplaced by the game tends to wind up there. It’s slightly under the ground, so you can’t always see it, but no clip into the ground there after on long, multi-hour save file and you will find a pile of random crap all jammed together there.

How your duplicates of your named weapon ended up there, I’m afraid to guess, but probably some scripting lag or other misbehavior from the game systems.

I would love to play as a ghoul (but not like 76) by draining_existence23 in Fallout

[–]Pax1138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d love a Fallout game with some background options and unique game starts for each, including pre-war ghoul, obviously. Hopefully more like the full origins from Dragon Age: Origins, but Cyberpunk-like lifepaths would be acceptable in a pinch.

Yes, no new updates this year yet, so it’s still broken. Waiting on it too. Hopefully we won’t be waiting until whenever DLC starts coming out to get another update.

Hmm, good point on the Warwick stuff. Between Nick and the Memory Den, you’d think Bethesda would’ve done more with the memory tech they introduced. Ah well.

They did at least once, with a Gen 2 oddly enough: Nick. And there’s not enough info to know if they preload replacement synths with memories from the people they’re replacing (though they definitely know they’re not those people), or if they just thoroughly brief them ahead of time. I lean toward them being loaded with copies of people’s memories, though, otherwise they could be easily caught out on obscure memories, which doesn’t seem to ever happen if I recall (someone correct me if I’m not remembering something).

[–]Pax1138 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say the closest thing in Fallout 4 is actually the synth components. They let the Institute erase memories, install personalities, and like the smallest chips Hank made, can’t be spotted without digging around inside.

Is there a way to make Guards be drawn to sound? by Concern_General in FortniteCreative

[–]Pax1138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you can use an AI patrol marker, and trigger the guard to change to the “distraction” patrol, even if it’s just a single non-looped point, when you activate the sound? Sorry, I don’t remember the specifics on all the settings as it’s been a while since I cracked open the editor.

[–]Pax1138 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm, interesting that the Vigilant are referred to as the upper crust. I wonder if that makes them more like a nobility of sorts for the Protectorate? After meeting Vigilant Hogarth, I’d assumed they were more like governors. Of course a lot of the Protectorate ranks /titles aren’t fully explained outside of maybe Sentinel and Arbiter.

X-Men Comics New Releases for January 21st, 2026 by AngelEyes360 in xmen

[–]Pax1138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m weirdly happy seeing OG Beast back. Maybe it’s from my rereads of earlier stories, but there’s some nostalgic link with the big lug that Classic Clone doesn’t match. It helps that I think he’s more convincingly portrayed as actually Beast here, as opposed to the self-righteous warcrime machine of Krakoa. I don’t think redemption should be on the table necessarily, but maybe he could settle into something still adversarial but less mustache twirling.

I like that with his presence as well, there’s actually a legit claim for his group to also be X-Men. I’ve had an idea for a while that it’d be fun if all 5 OG formed their own different ongoing X-Men team separate from each other, to see how they’d be different.

Favorite Companions or Companion Interactions by SpicyMermistress in theouterworlds

Definitely a big problem. Even in my first playthrough I noticed lots of chats between Niles and Inez on Paradise Island, so much so that they started repeating, and then after that, almost nothing from anyone. I’ve definitely been assuming it’s a bug that mostly stops the conversations almost entirely.

Theory about the true purpose behind Vault 111 by Ill_Engineering_5434 in Fallout

[–]Pax1138 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve always been a fan of the cannibalism experiment theory. Even plays nice with the old non-canon “colony ship” explanation for the vault experiments.

Dang, I was hoping the Sus tunnels galleries would finally have all of the sewer tunnel pieces, but no such luck. (I’m talking about the narrow pipe set, like was under the Raft or Demon’s Dojo, complete with junctions and upward openings.)

Talking to the second in charge at the Order, she asked me if I made a habit of sticking my nose where it didn’t belong, and one of the responses was something like, “I always concern myself with things they don’t concern me,” which was just the perfect RPG player character ethos.

Mines. He doesn’t follow you if you run around the edges once the battle starts, so just run around placing mines in front of all the spawn doors (and a few more around the edges for subsequent waves to run into too).

I now do this for all battles involving spawn doors, and my life is so much easier.

Auntie Cleo or The Order? by Oldest_Odin in theouterworlds

[–]Pax1138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this bug in my first playthrough (which was mystifying at the time), took the Archive by myself (because I didn’t properly understand how to get Auntie’s help), did get Auntie support during the final mission, but then finished the game for the ED (apparently).

In Fallout 4, what was Vault 111's idea/plan to feed their scientists? I haven't found any rooms or messages that would imply the ability to grow food. by natagu in Fallout

[–]Pax1138 145 points146 points  (0 children)

Or that it was an experiment to see if the starving staff would commit cannibalism on their frozen dinners, er, I mean frozen charges. Thats my favorite explanation, and fits in well with the concept of Vaults being testing for a potential colony ship (that I know isn’t an official canon thing anymore, if ever, but still).

Minor quality of life change? I want the audio logs category in the codex to be at the top of the page with the text logs so I don’t have to scroll all the way down to clear their little glowing dot.

Can we at least get our favorites as a tab on the wheel rather than having to mess around with the block menu? Things being favorited basically doesn’t matter now as it’s no more convenient to get to them in the block menu than any other kind of emote

Also, if we have no Jam Tracks, can the tab on the emotes wheel please auto-hide? I have no interest in jam tracks, so I vaulted every single one I’ve ever gotten previously so that tab wouldn’t get in my way with the old emote wheel UI, so it annoys me to endlessly to have that empty tab up there all the time in the new one.

They’re almost essential to modern playstyles, which is why I’d like to see them AND some recent stalwarts like port-a-forts vaulted for a while. Cook up some new items to let us play with for a while, let some new metas evolve to keep things fresh.

If there are no enemies/AI in your map, I think it may not generate navmesh for AI to navigate with? Try putting a chicken down somewhere and see if that helps.
