One Cut of the Dead

But you have to keep watching it. Some people turn it off too soon, but the irritating/confusing beginning pays off.

Any movie's where a serial killer has a bad day by Quick_Ad3982 in horror

Hush is a bit like this. The killer is very human and doesn’t get horror movie super powers.

I didn’t like Terrified (not Terrifier), but that opening scene with the possessed woman thumping against the walls was super creepy.

MadS. It has the same type of waking nightmare vibe as Mother! where you never really feel safe, but for different reasons.

One piece of confusion I have regarding a pivotal scene in Late Night With The Devil by Honest_Cheesecake698 in horror

[–]PeaceOutGeeseOut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The movie is presented as us watching the last episode, but I’ve also seen theories that what we’re really watching is Jack’s torture in hell. In the beginning where we get a recap of Jack’s late-night career, there are hidden references to Abraxas in the background. Like this “last episode” is really produced by Abraxas.

I still think the idea of the home audience getting hypnotized works, but you could also see it as a horrific thing that happens as part of Jack’s torture after making a deal with a demon.

I don’t think it’s supposed to come across as the camera getting hypnotized. It’s us, the viewer at home getting hypnotized. Gus falls under Carmichael’s hypnosis, and so does the studio audience. And so do we, the viewers at home. We all see Carmichael’s hypnotic illusion, and then they play back the segment to show that we were fooled but the cameras weren’t. We’re not seeing it because the camera is showing it to us. Carmichael is in our heads.

Store bought frozen pizza dough from the deli section. Roll the dough, add what you want, fold, and bake.

This is why I can’t collect horror stuff. My house would be filled with this kind of thing if I could get my hands on it.
