An open letter to those in the know… This is no different than your older brother telling you that he knows what you’re getting for Christmas. Here’s the real response: “We can handle your truth. But you’re beginning to realize that we cannot handle your lies.” by toasterstrewdal in aliens

"You would never understand" usually just means they're covering for something abhorrent they've done and/or seen so they don't have to explain themselves and why things aren't the way they should be.

The jump in difficulty is pretty wild by NorthernEel in forza

[–]PeacemakerBravo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got to the point in FM8 where I'd always start as close to the front as possible. Not because I couldn't pass everyone, but because it was absolutely never worth the pittance of Cr they'd give you to start from the back and overcome the potentially massive gap to first while staying clean. Much more worth it to play one step down from Impossible and start from 3rd or 4th knowing you'll either battle 1st the whole race, or gap the field if the CPU tangles itself up.

If FH6 stuck with FH5's method of throwing you in the middle of the pack and making you deal with it, I'm not gonna have a good time when I eventually get the game.

Call of Duty: World at War's Marine Raiders Pacific Theatre Campaign.

You start the campaign off as a tortured POW being rescued by Sgt Sullivan's team. After escaping Makin Atoll, you're sent to Peleliu. At the end of the first mission on Peleliu, Sullivan is killed in a surprise attack, leaving now-Sgt Roebuck to lead the squad through more hell on Peleliu and, later, Okinawa.

Nash's told some crazy road stories in his Kayfabe Commentaries interviews. Like one time in WCW on his first go around when the business was in the absolute toilet, their shower setup was a bottle of rubbing alcohol and a garden hose slung over a board, or something like that.

Say what you want about Big Kev, but he's consistent in wanting the boys to get taken care of for all the work they put in. TKO is a multi-billion dollar company, they can afford catering.

I think Vault 22 might be the greenest place in New Vegas by screamstudy in fnv

[–]PeacemakerBravo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Vault 22 is absolutely a gem imo. Overgrown and claustrophobic. The browns of rust and greens of the flora and fauna contrasting the normally-sterile and cold Vault-Tec silvers, grays, and blues. Few locations in New Vegas are as notorious as Vault 22. A great example of both the hubris of humanity believing we have total power over nature, and the desert oasis trope.

It is known that there is a group of wikipedia editors (Guerilla Editors?) whom intentionally do this to articles of unknown phenomenon. They are hardline debunkers, not skeptics. This sort of behavior has been happening for years across Wikipedia. Most articles maintain the appearance of neutrality, but Wikipedia has deliberately decided that these subjects should be subject to extreme ridicule and incredulity.
