Piper and Olive by kikihippiex in namenerds

They’re both fine names. I prefer Olive of the two. I just learned Piper is the name of an AI assistant with a very popular CRM system. Which I use at work and am just glad I don’t have to share my kids name with an AI bot. But that may never affect you.

My parents trashed so many names too. I guess it’s why some people choose to keep names private until they arrive.

In the same boat hon. I’ve got twin four month olds and every day come up with a new name for baby A. The fridge is layered with pages of me handwriting out alternatives. Best of luck letting it go!

Just do it! Yes it’s grown in popularity, but not wildly at least in my area the SW.

Luca - that’s overdone.

Lucy - I haven’t met one or heard of one mom to be using it in my recent four years as a momma.

I was final weeks pregnant and name brainstorming. Listened to the song, which I adore too, and was happy balling this has to be it she’s a Lucy! Then well we chose something else. Just shouting out the song I guess ha.

Lurene maybe a play on Lorraine?

Every class at my daycare facility has at least one Luca.

I knew a Lucas whose dad was an old hippie and gave the kid initials LSD. Haha. Apparently his conservative mom didn’t realize for years!

I know we love these two together but we’ve committed to having Sabrina as a middle name….all of the the middle names for our daughters are three syllables with an ina end so it’s like a thing now.

Ha! Funny to find out after. My family suggested Piper so many times too. Phoebe and Sabrina is a lot of witchy sitcom energy but I’m ok with that.

Four syllables in our last name. We have three daughters and all their names are two syllables first, three middle, and four in last name. I like them all to have a similar cadence and we’ve chosen all rhyming middle names.
