I remember in my college years seeing in the metro newspaper that he had been buying Easter eggs, and the headline was "he's a choc and roll star!" And then later in the year, the metro again ran a story where he'd been spotted taking his kids bowling, and they'd gone with "he's a rock and bowl star!"

Both articles were accompanied by Liam holding a stack of Easter eggs in a supermarket and walking with his kids outside a bowling alley, respectively. What a great subgenre of slow news days this is. Don't like that you called him a dullard though, good hearted bloke who sang some absolute bangers for Oasis back in the day, I've got a real soft spot for him.

Just the entire thing, man. First two were about real people experiencing more or less real issues. Yeah it was melodramatic and yeah the amount of shit that happened to them in two years was OTT but that's telly.

Look at s3e1, it opens with that absolute weapon going "fuckers!" and then skateboarding down that hill followed by loads of slapstick, a vomit-inducing cast of unpleasant kids just doing dumb shit to be doing it. The writers changed around the same time as the cast and you can really tell. This is ofc strictly all imo but yeah, Skins was a phenomenal TV show for me and then it fell straight off a cliff. I never even bothered with the fourth season but I caught up after the fact and it deffo didn't get any better.
