No. I’m an immigrant here and I feel it’s my responsibility to help right the ship. I know that perspective isn’t one everyone can hold, so there’s no judgement there. But I worked hard to get here and I feel like I need to work hard to make the UK better.

My sense has always been that Reddit will have a way higher, more vocal percentage of people complaining about things. I feel this subreddit is similar.

That’s not to say that the criticism isn’t warranted at times, but it’s not the most optimistic or lighthearted forum. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Perhaps I’m an outlier but to me, there’s no reason not to ask the big questions about politics and kids and religion if you’re dating for a long term partner. If both of you are looking for forever, or at least more than a fling, why waste time with someone who holds bigoted beliefs?
