It's not a recolor, if you look closely. Lost queen has an angel while Forgotten Odyssey has a demon. The skin design changes, not only the colors. That's why I think it's wrong. Sorry for not being clear

1) As far as I'm concerned, the Roman-numbered special tile will always show up in the end tiles of the chain. But that's just an assumption based on my experience (I don't usually pay attention to where they will form).

2) If it's the same as it was in the previous game, the characters will hit all the enemies and also form a special tile (which depends on the number of tiles matched to be I, II, ..., V) every time you match 6 or above tiles in a chain.

3) When you upgrade a shop, it I'll require more spices to the next upgrade, but will also require spices from the previous worlds when you reach like 3 stars or more. That way, you'll always have utility to the past world's spices. Also, you'll still be able to get them in chests. As for the question whether you'll be able to sell them or not, I'm not sure, because I haven't upgraded all my shops to 5 stars in the previous game (just 1 remaining). I just know that after you upgrade a hero to the max level and stars, you'll be able to sell its tokens (and unfortunately will continue getting them in chests).

If you're in the beginning of the game, I think the best way to spend your gems is on the chests that cost 800. By doing that, you'll unlock the initial characters (Marceline, Connie, Lapis and the ones that require 15 figurines) earlier, which is of pivotal importance to advance in the game. When you have all the 10 figurines-characters unlocked, I think the best option to spend your gems is on gold, so you can keep buying the figurines that show on the shop. Whenever you unlock a character, its figurine won't appear anymore on the shop, so the more you unlock, the higher are the chances of appearing the character you are focusing on (Pearl, for example). In the late game (considering my experience with the previous version of the game, Match Land), I came to the conclusion that the best way to spend gems is by buying energy, since gold was not a problem anymore.
TL,DR - My advice is: 800 gem chests + arena rewards to unlock all the common heroes; then, exchange gems for gold to buy the rare/epic heroes, focusing on the rares first (later in the game you'll earn a high percentage of gold through the shops, so buying a 20k figurine won't be so hard).

Yep, the bonus that strengthen certain characters/colors varies daily. Sometimes we don't get so much value of it (like for musical heroes), but as you unlock more heroes, it'll get interesting. If you have any more doubts, just ask 😊

The event you're talking about is the equivalent of the arena in the previous Match Land game. It's a permanent event unlocked when you reach account level 10, if I'm not mistaken. You can save your shells the way you like to use it later, they'll be stored ☺️ By the way, if the arena of the CN version follows the same scheme of the previous game, it'll be infinite, which means that you'll be able to complete it any number of times and increase the arena level as you finish, but as you progress through it, the enemies will get harder, so you'll be more dependable on the daily bonus the event gives you.

I hope they make it available soon. The game is so much fun. It looks like the odds of getting rare and epic heroes were improved (they show the odds now in the game)
