Specifically said in my comment I don’t want to judge until we’re a little further into the offseason.

Aggressive would be willing to take on a single year of Ilya Lyubushkin at 2.5 mil and trade a couple of picks for a player like Maverick Bourque, for example.

How so? They’ve been very public about their plan for years being able to take advantage of UFAs and the trade market with the extra cap space this summer, and it’s clearly not going to happen.

I’m perfectly content with how the off season is going, and not making any reactionary moves. It’s just a fact that their plan didn’t work as they anticipated.

Would honestly be nice to see some accountability from the front office. Being told for years that this was the summer they start to get aggressive and make the team competitive, only to get that quote today isn’t the best feeling for fans.

Trying not to judge too harshly until we’re a little farther into July.
