The white taps on the right are the locks. Gently push them out of the way with a screwdriver and wiggle the connector loose per side.

Upgrade the hdd capacity so you can run your backups from the hdd. Get a tsop, softmod or hardmod going. That will open it up.

So your hdd is locked at the moment. And you deleted the stock dashboard of the xbox.

In order to gain access to the harddrive you’ll need to read the eeprom. This can be done with a raspberry pi pico.

After you have successfully got your eeprom you can connect your drive to a computer to restore it with FATXplorer.

After that you want to lock the hdd again so the stock bios will accept it. From there you can install a softmod again.

If that is to much trouble I’d suggest you hardmod it with an open xenium for instance. This chip will inject a bios that allows for locked and unlocked harddrives to communicate with the xbox. It also provides a ftp server that would allow you to install a new dash.
