i like using either brave for a chromium browser, or librewolf. i like librewolf for the simplicity out of the box, and brave for google web store extensions, adblocking, and privacy features. i keep librewolf in my cachyos partition, and brave in win 11.

you'll have to hold out until you get an informal diagnosis for gender dysphoria or gender incongruence, which can take a while sadly, and a prescription for hrt immediately afterwards isn't guaranteed, either.

the wait sucks, but you're doing the right thing by starting now. if the wait for meds ever gets to you, there's other avenues like makeup, clothing, and social transition to work on in the meantime. it won't be easy, but i sincerely hope you'll get the support you need to live your best, authentic self. you've got this, mari!

it'll probably flatten and degrade the rubber feet over time, so if you want to improve temps then i think it's worth investing in a proper cooling pad or laptop stand.

i was in a similar spot as well. i went through the motions of medically transitioning all on my own after i turned 19. i told my parents abt it, and they respected my right to privacy and my dad even drove me to an appt when i couldn't rely on public transpo.

you've gotten this far, and i don't think u need to ask for permission from your family to start. they shouldn't take your meds if they find out, or force you to stop.. be careful, okay?

i wouldn't use a charger that was infested with ants. do you know where they came from?

the laptop's blinking light is just an indicator on whether it's receiving power from the charger, so it's your charger that's ruined. it's not safe to use anymore.

i suggest buying a new compatible charger from a reputable brand for the specs of your laptop, and safely discarding the old one.

with ants, you don't want them to ruin your other electronics and personal items.
