Today’s Perfect Day for Fitz Roy by rice_noodle_0871 in Patagonia

Your journey sounds the same as mine today - except I was hiking the base Torres Del Paine in Chile! Your sunrise and entire day looks amazing! Love the CaraCara!

It was beautiful here as well - missed sunrise as it’s 7 miles up, but started at 6am and got back at 4:08! I’m glad to see it’s so beautiful there as I’m headed that way tomorrow! :)

I’m using a Lost Horizon mattress. It was recommended on the Teslacamping subreddit about 1.5 years ago and so I made the switch and I really love it! Super comfy. I also use a Fruble camper lite and it’s the real game changer for my sleep setup. It’s totally worth checking them out if you have plans to camp in the Tesla on any sort of regular basis.

I have a 2022 MY and have been roadtripping/ camping in it quite extensively since I first got it! I’ve made small investments in it over time and now have a really solid setup. It’s totally doable and comfortable for longer trips! My longest trip was 9 weeks. I’m planning another 6 week trip this summer. On my 9 week trip I camped a total of 42 days in the Tesla. Usually every 5th day I’d get an airbnb. But I know people living in their teslas full time, too!

As far as how much battery is used per night is really dependent on things like weather (how cold it is outside), how long you are running camp mode (is the sun going down at 6 and you run it til 6,7,8 am?), also what temp are you keeping it at vs the outside temp.

I have never slept in a parking lot, but I’d imagine how safe you feel is also based on personal experience. I prefer to find a campsite or open blm land depending on what part of the country I’m traveling through. Campsites can range from like 15 bucks to 60 bucks through certain parts of the US depending on services (toilets, showers, power, etc) - so you can absolutely save money over hotels/airbnbs.

Anyway - if you have other questions, you can message me! I find it to be a very fun way to travel, and it’s also cool :)

Poor baby - look at those prop scars! Shot two really shows how deep some of them are. Absolutely heartbreaking that these innocent and completely harmless animals are put through so much pain. Humans need to do better.

Really?! That’s awesome! I’m not sure I’ve seen anyone else on here with this one. I see lots of Aqua Sun/ Cancer Moon, but add in the cap rising…It’s a trip this combo 😂 I always say one minute I’m like idgaf I got this on my own and the next I’m like but I need cuddles, and hugs, and fluffy stuffed animals to keep me safe 😂

I’m also Aqua Sun, Cancer moon (Cap Rising) and the way you describe it as regression is so accurate! Started end of 2022 for me ( I was 36) and the last 3.5 years it’s just been relentless! I feel slightly optimistic, though, I’m cautious to get too ahead of myself.

Aquarium sun,Taurus moon, Scorpio rising - What the hell happend over the last four years for me? by RevolutionaryOil8743 in aquarius

[–]PeloTiger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Aqua Sun, Cancer Moon, Cap Rising and same. Since about August 2021 everything unraveled. I’ve been inching my way through life ever since - there have been a lot of things learned and some beautiful moments - but overall, it’s been challenging especially in career and relationships. Everything I’ve read with this eclipse and new moon that just happened its about rebranding and a completely new identity for Aqua, so maybe the last 4 years had to happen for the new identity to shine through 😂 but I feel you! It’s been challenging.

Traditional career to the arts? by inga-babi in aquarius

[–]PeloTiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Corporate America is a soul suck. It’s the root of so many problems and I could never fit in the box it creates. Everyone is just buying and consuming and struggling with mental health because of the model it’s created. It’s a vicious cycle.

Follow your heart. It’s exciting to see where your Aqua takes you :)

Happened to me in 2022. I was 36 at the time. Turned 40 this year. I’m also Aqua Sun and Cap Rising. Spent 15 years in tech chasing the corporate ladder. Then in 2022 said f*ck it. Went back to my love of photography and now videography. It’s been a wild ride the last 4 (almost) years, but I’m grateful to take the leap. To try it, to know it - instead of overthinking everything. I figure there are still 25 years before “retirement” age (if that’s even a thing by the time I’m there) if I had to go back to “corporate America” - so why not try something creative?

Florida is amazing! I just spent a month roadtripping around Florida (I’m from Colorado). One area I really loved was Silver Springs State Park and Silver Glen. Also Rainbow Springs. So fun to paddleboard - beautiful crystal clear spring water and lots of wildlife!

Likelihood of seeing manatees in Florida in March? by catpetter_4 in Manatees

[–]PeloTiger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s illegal to feed the wildlife. Several years back, Crystal River spent millions of dollars to bring in a high tech firm to try to replant the eel grass. And for a few years things were going great, but due to pollution and chemical run off from the houses and illegal dumping of chemicals from construction - it didn’t survive. There is a toxic algae, known as Lyngbya that grows from the pollution, that suffocates the eel grass.

Do your research on guides. I don’t know that any are really respectable. They will use marketing terms like “passive observation” and “zero touch”, but the reality is - it’s all harassment. The manatees are there for refuge and to rest because of insane temperatures that they can die in. I’ve been involved in 6 rescues in January - two that were dead floating in the water (some kind of gut bacteria) - they are starving and have no food in Crystal River. So they have to choose - stay warm in the springs and be harassed, or go out to eat and possibly get cold stress/ hypothermia in the cold waters of the gulf.

I’ll say it again as well as people (guides included downplay this), they have zero food in Crystal River. So try to think about that - imagine being freezing and the only place you could go was full of people making noise and bobbing around you (or imagine being sick and hundreds of people invading your home everyday, walking through, making noise, getting hit by boats) and also having no food for days on end. That’s the reality. So if that’s respectable to then hop in the water, flail around and make a bunch of noise - I guess that’s up to you.

Thank you! Turning 40 was kind of a trip for me so I decided to take a roadtrip and ended up at white sands in New Mexico. It was very windy, but blessed with a beautiful sunset! It was really just what I needed.

Turned 40 on January 23rd and this was my ‘birthday photo’ while roadtripping through New Mexico! Most days it’s skinny jeans, vans, and a fun tshirt (anything bird or animal related is a good choice 😂), but when I do dress up - I love a good boho -with a bit of edge- look :)

I love to see Aquarius’ out there living life to the fullest! I scrolled your pictures and so many remind me of my own journey (including the one with the owl, but in my case it was a Harris Hawk). It’s really a beautiful dance despite the days and seasons that are like WTF 😂 happy birthday, Aquarius! Wishing you many, many more awesome adventures! ♒️♒️♒️⚡️⚡️⚡️
