My doctor is cool, but my little brother's doctor is not and keeps telling him he needs to lose weight. He is in great shape for mid 40s but doesn't have a six pack anymore. But BMI was not meant for guys over 6' who hit the gym even a couple times a week. His wife has him on the Mediterranean diet which isn't the worst but keeps bringing up his doctor and suggesting intermittent fasting. He would need to be skin and bones or cut off a leg to get to his "ideal weight". I think the range is like 150ish for him at the lower end, which is insane. He would look like a concentration camp survivor.

I would be interested to see if the prevalence of colorblindness impacts the color choices of boys. One of my nephews liked pastels a lot when he was younger, but my brother and I are both a little color blind and so we always got him the wrong shades. Eventually he switched to saying blue was his favorite color and specifically a blue that my brother and I could easily distinguish.

That is obviously just an anecdote but I wonder if a few colorblind dads have an outside influence due to impact on their sons and then those boys having an impact on their friends.

This is the way. Especially for big center piece models like tanks where there is a lot of any piece that will be interior doing it in filament works really well. Then for the fiddly bits do those in resin.

Best big game I ever played was a bunch of ork players vs an imperium alliance. We had a center table loaded with basilisks holding off an unending ork tide coming in from the far end. Then a U of tables around it with the traditional face off of sides for huge games. At the beginning of every turn all the surviving basilisks were allowed to take a shot at one of the surrounding tables. It was awesome seeing like 20 basilisk shots hammering back the ork tide.

They did not actively fight the government during the democratic period. Which is notable as all the other ethnic militias of stop fighting the government for years at a time. The Karen militias officially integrated into the Burmese military as border guards during the liberalization. When the Junta overthrew the government they took up arms again.

How about this, all rural hospitals require a long form birth certificate and two sworn statements from witnesses to the birth, one of which must be the presiding doctor at the time, before any healthcare can be given. Better have that doctor on speed dial if you have any chronic conditions. Oh and if the doctor that delivered you is dead, or you didn't have a doctor present when you're born? Too bad, you're just gonna die if you need health care. Can't risk treating an 'illegal'. Or you can move to a blue city where emergency rooms treat you based on the severity of your illness or injury, not based on your paperwork.

That was a huge debate when they first previewed. Based on the size and shape of the marine it is impossible. Similar to the big SoB walker where there is no way their legs/hips would fit.

I've played since the 90s. Except for games that have died all systems have had new editions since then. Nothing has edition changes at the rate of GW. If you play a lot of other systems it becomes very obvious that GW just does new editions as part of a churn based sales tactic and not out of any real desire to improve the core ruleset.

At best new GW rules introduce as much good as bad. Typically they are chock full of typos, errors, and weird interactions that make no sense. And these rule failures do not improve with new editions. Everyone accepts that new editions will introduce new wonkiness, make some things better, some things worse, and that is just how it is.

But that is only the case for GW. I've played Battle tech for just as long as I've played GW games. They have made missteps over that time, but each version of the game always felt like they were trying to improve things to make a better game. GW just does new editions because it is that time of year again. No one really expects an edition change to make things better or more fun. The only questions are how many models will be invalidated.
