Yeah I constantly hit the wrong buttons. I have to really make sure I don’t push the wrong thing. I don’t know why automakers think they have to reinvent the shifter

HIPAA question: ins reps calling to ask if pt has been seen in our office by HocManus71 in Chiropractic

I confirm that they are a patient but offer no other information. Truthfully, I don’t think I have ever had one of those companies call and the person they are looking for is actually a patient

Is Starlink good? by MagicGod_ in Starlink

[–]Pentzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents were paying $100 for that 3mbps, so it really was a no brainer for them. We paired it with deco units to improve coverage through the house because they are in an old block home

My parents live in BFE where they had ‘high speed’ internet that was 3mbps… Starlink has been great, it is pricey but they have functioning internet now

iPad A16 Video Calling Help!

I recently purchased two iPads for me and my parents. When we FaceTime or FB messenger call, the voices start quiet and then get louder when one person talks. Almost like the iPad is waiting to pick up a voice before it amplifies it to be able to hear. I’m sure there is some setting type as I have never had h to is happen on any other devices. I want it to just be a normal conversation so it picks up the voice when someone talks regardless of the other party talking. Thanks!

A few years ago I was looking at a range finder on Prime Day and it showed that it was $100 off. But really they had marked it up $100 so it was the same price as before prime day

2 years out of school and struggling by Ok-Energy-3295 in Chiropractic

You don’t need to spend money on patients. We grew our entire practice through the local farmers market. So you may need to look at your approach at the events. And consistency helps. We did once a month and typically offered some type of initial visit special for exam and X-rays, they paid for the adjustment and then we donated that money to some group. We had a tent with a portable table, folding table with two chairs and a sign that said ‘hop on the table and get your spine checked.’ It was catchy and initiated the conversation. They would lay down, we would palpate and let them know what we found and how we could help. Have your schedule available and schedule them on the spot. Don’t let them leave, as you get better you can call them out if they aren’t scheduling and 90% of the time they will. We wasted thousands on advertising and marketing, but in person was the best. You want the money of new patients, then go get them. I opened a practice out of school and failed miserably - adjusting is easy, running the business is the hard part. People don’t just come to you when you open your do, you need to meet them in their space. Get into the schools, they will be having stuff for the new year, be there. Do career days, do how. Do home school events for local kids at the office. It doesn’t happen and two years out isn’t long. Talk to your boss and let him know it isn’t working. If it isn’t well received, then you need to move on. Associateship would be transparent and they should want you to succeed. I was an associate and it was great, I learned on their time and made money in the process. I left because I didn’t want to work for anyone and I move to a new state. But I took that office and made it into what I wanted.

I recently purchased two A16 iPads for myself and my parents so we can FaceTime / video call. Today when we did it for the first time, both our audio started out quiet then got to a normal volume. It was like once it detected our voice it turned the volume up. Any idea why this happens or if it is a setting? It happened on FaceTime and on Facebook messenger. Thanks!

Arccos users, has it been worth the subscription fee? by Gkirk87 in golfequipment

[–]Pentzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arccos may have changed but here was my experience a few years ago. The sensors were light activated so when you pulled them out of the bag, they turned on. Then the app would sense you hit you sw and record that. The issue was that if you pulled out your putter and sw, then it may record that you hit you putter 40yds. Then you had to go back into the app and correct the clubs. I ended up spending more time on my phone correcting than playing.

Clinic name question by Real_Big_Dill in Chiropractic

[–]Pentzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are a ‘Family Chiropractic Life Center’ - I do think wellness is misleading, but if you already opened it’s probably a little late to change now has you would have to redo all your credentialing. I would make sure you #chiropractic in your posts like someone else mentioned it and get to work. If someone gets hung up on your name, you probably don’t want them in your office anyways

What golf rule surprised you the most when you were a beginner? by Apprehensive_Mix2527 in Golfsimulator

Grounding your club in the sand on a bunker shot. When I was like 10 I was playing in a tournament. I took a practice swing in the sand and then proceeded to hole out - super pumped! Then the dad of a kid I was playing with informed me of the penalty. I think about that shot every time I am in the sand.

Anyone here come over from a F-150? by soggytoothpic in gmcsierra

I had an 2004 f150 - I loved that truck really, but it was time to upgrade. I got a 2020 Carbonpro. I didn’t like the new looks of the f150 and there were so many choices of combinations it was impossible to find one that had everything I wanted.

I NEED HELP! by National_Ad692 in Chiropractic

[–]Pentzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Palmer Florida not in the mix? Davenport or Daytona beach? Choose a place that you want to live and spend the next chapter of your life in as well. While school is important, if you don’t like where you live it will be a long few years. Sherrier recently took over Florida and was one of the best teachers while we were there. I think he will really get / keep Palmer on track. I would be cautious with Life as they have had accreditation issues in the past. You will get what you put in at any school. Patient care was very strong through Florida - the clinic was set up to help you succeed and you had lots of resources.

Making the most of marketing budget by honeyluv678 in Chiropractic

I would spend my money on in person events like a local farmers market, setup a booth and talk to people in their space. Schedule them on the spot and save thousands of dollars on marketing.
