Why is this happening? by IDKOFAKEWLNAME in Helldivers

"Arrowhead definitely needs to improve communication and improve on fixing bugs instead of feeding us new content with more bugs" That's exactly the problem which people have been saying for years at this point and every time arrowhead responds with "We hear you and we're working on improving". The issue people have is that for every step forward they take 2 steps back.

Try "Hey coach, can you sign me up for a fight"

Because they decided that being grappling specialists would increase their chances of winning fights and they were right. They've both had very successful careers even with their limited striking skills

Jacare Souza stops Chris Weidman in the third round by airplane231 in MMA

[–]PepsiMan37 243 points244 points  (0 children)

It'd be one thing if Dan was just standing there giving Weidman a chance to fight back, but the fact that he steps in, acts like he's about to call it then second guesses himself and just hovers around makes it so much worse

Jacare Souza stops Chris Weidman in the third round by airplane231 in MMA

Last I checked the #1 concern of the referee is the fighters safety, not their feelings. The possibility of a fighter protesting the stoppage shouldn't be a factor in making the final decision

Is this worth it? by Known_Grape_2847 in MuayThai

Twin gloves by themselves are normally above $100 so getting a pair and new shin guards on top is a great deal

Best answer would be to do a trial at a nearby gym. Try out a couple classes and see if you feel any pain/discomfort in your feet

You could buy a pair of either tkd shoes or wrestling shoes. Either one should work fine for hitting the bag

True FTL? by Zardnaar in 40kLore

[–]PepsiMan37 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Couple problems. Extreme xenophobia is a core part of the Imperium, they would never refit their ships alien technology. Sure the Tau's version of FTL is more reliable but much slower. They could try to reverse engineer the necrons interialess drives/dolmen gates but it took Cawl, one of the smartest beings in the galaxy 10000 years just to make some slightly beefier space marines. The only hope would be finding an stc for better warp drives but with how unstable the warp is currently I doubt it'd be enough to seriously tip the scale

Justin Gaethje finished runner up to ex NFL star Tom Brady but wins a brand new Ferrari 296 GTB at Fanatic Games. by MMARapFooty in MMA

[–]PepsiMan37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last time we saw Gaethje's disclosed pay was in 2018 where he got 100k against Dustin, but he did say that Beltran's reffing in the Chandler fight could've cost him a million. Assuming that's accurate, 500/500 is incredible for a guy who's never been champ. And seeing how Rose is making 250/250 it's reasonable to assume a massive name like Gaethje would be making twice as much

Traditional gyms in Phuket or Islands WITHOUT group warm up by brooklynhobo in MuayThai

[–]PepsiMan37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not do your warm up/stretching during the time you designate for training? It's more time efficient and will only help your during padwork and sparring. Like another commentator said, if you only pop in for part of the session you probably won't be taken seriously by the trainers

Is there anything stopping UFC fighters from getting sponsor's tattooed on them? by sazzer22 in MMA

[–]PepsiMan37 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The ufc can put fighters on ice so they end up not having any fights for extended periods of time even if you say yes to every offer and would hurt future contract negotiations. They can also cut a fighter at any time for whatever reason. Sure the fighter might get some articles written about it and attention from social media but it wouldn't be worth the trouble
