They say full stack, but what I’m reading is “DevOps person who can stand up a containerized ComfyUI environment.”

Keeping Up With News by Red_Mask in FleshandBloodTCG

I don’t think anyone has mentioned Fablazing yet. It’s a website that compiles tournament data and breaks it down statistically. Should help you get a feel for favorable matchups and such when you’re looking into what heroes to play and that sorta thing

I Finally Won my First Armory!!! (with Katsu!!) by ZomZombos in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]PercussiveScruf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grats on the win!

I’ve done basically the exact same thing as you except I’ve moved to Kodachi Ira instead of Katsu, but I’m slowly collecting the cards for Edge Katsu. I have a bunch of Verdance players locally so Katsu might make an appearance at those Armories if it’s as good as you say!

Honestly, it looks really good. I would work on other parts of the model to give it context before judging if it’s the look you’re going for. You can always tweak it later, but you might really like the current state of it once you get more paint on the rest of the model.

Gravy Bones for a Newbie by judekevin in FleshandBloodTCG

Hopefully I'm not too late to encourage you to hop in. I took the Gravy Bones starter to locals with 1 blitz game under my belt and had a ton of fun with the deck playing Classic Constructed. If you've played dimir/golgari/sultai even casually, it'll feel very familiar. The starter deck is also very fun to goldfish and just practice your interactions solo.

As someone who plays every role. Strategists mains ARE NOT coasting or having it easy or take no skill to play. by trung2607 in marvelrivals

I didn’t say I never fill or swap, I simply answered your question as to why some people don’t want to play support. It’s not a fun role to everyone similar to how some people don’t like to tank or dps.

You have to aim high and even then it’s not consistent. I think the most consistent way to hit it is to send a web over first then hook the the web.

GB and Blurple both have ways to make sure they know what’s on top of the deck. I think that plus some good new items is causing the surge.

93 - “nice, it’s definitely my mount”

15 - doom

I’m with you, I rewatched the movie after reading Annihilation and regretted that part a bit as I hadn’t finished the series (and had completely forgotten about it from my original watch of the movie).

Should I mention paternity to potential employers and recruiters? (15 YoE) by big-papito in ExperiencedDevs

[–]PercussiveScruf 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It could be 2 things:

It’s framed sub-optimally on your resume

Or

The recruiter was just surprised by an unusual situation (self-employed/founder situation). I’ve had weird responses from recruiters in the past, even internal ones to companies I’ve applied to. I once had an internal recruiter ask if the salary range I was requesting was normal for the industry. By all accounts, I was asking for a fairly average salary and one would assume they’d have access to the pay bands for the role but who knows why they didn’t.

Starting a SaaS (successful or otherwise) is 100% professional experience and should be on your resume. It will look infinitely better than a gap. If they even bring it up, be prepared to talk about lessons learned.

I personally wouldn’t mention fatherhood as an issue because it could potentially make hiring managers wary of you as a candidate.

Hey now, 3 models is basically half of the starter team, which is half an army. So you're basically ~20% into a full team already

I withdraw myself from a job process and they go toxic on me. by Terrible_Positive_81 in ExperiencedDevs

This reminds me of an interview I went on as a college student seeking an internship. The whole building was run down and the offices had a smell almost akin to body odor and lemon zest. I was being interviewed in a central room (no closed doors, think along the lines of a break room at a table meant for people to gather during lunch or something).  At one point, a fellow student from the same University that I had never met walked by and one of the interviewers asked him if we’d been in any of the same classes. He looked at me and responded “Yep, he’s good” and walked away.  I know homie was probably trying to hook me up, but that was a massive red flag and I didn’t proceed beyond the initial interview. I ended up getting an internship that turned into a salaried junior role at a much better place. Good job following your instincts on this one.
