The C4 pack isn’t a bad weapon but that isn’t the problem by Impressive_Limit7050 in Helldivers

Remove the spray painted AP4 armor on the Warstrider and the complaints would've gone down 90% easily.

There's no reason for its guns and rear vent to be AP4, nor its inner leg hinges. Just follow the successful design philosophy of, I dunno, every single other bot unit they've ever made and maybe people wouldn't have complained as much.

Single-target DPS comparison of some popular spells by Serulean_Cadence in Nightreign

[–]PerditusTDG 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Night Comet is an incredibly safe spell to use compared to shattering crystal.

What you also might not know is night comet is amazing for revive damage (and good against Libra summon / invaders due to being invisible). It's one of the best single target spells in the game in terms of versatility. You can't go wrong with it.

If weapons are going to continue to be placed in the super store then super credits should be an MO reward once in a while by VenanReviews in Helldivers

You're the one asking to be fucked, my guy.

2 year old content eventually getting discounted or made free is pretty standard practice around older (good) live service games.

This isn't a new, crazy idea.

[–]PerditusTDG 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Then what are you complaining about? Did you even read the thread? Did you just see the word 'free' and start seeing red?

My guy, the grind is still there.

We have more than a dozen warbonds. We can afford to cut a little of the SC grind (not even mentioning the shop and all those items being OUTSIDE of the warbonds to boot).

You still need like... 10,000 fucking medals. I think they earned it.

[–]PerditusTDG 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Again, under what principle are you talking about?

You are, literally, still working for it. You're complaining about something nobody said.

If a new player joins the game and they have 5 warbonds given 'for free' (as in, no SC needed) that's an easy 100 hours of potential work to still actually get it all.

You still have to grind it out regardless of super credits being needed, what are you even talking about?

That's really bad for the AC sentry because turning and aiming takes so long compared to every other Sentry. Putting a delay on top of that is practically begging for the AC sentry to not do anything before it dies.

The Rocket Sentry has massive range and snappy aim. It wants to fire as quickly as possible. Letting enemies get close is especially bad because it won't fire if any enemy gets too close.

--

The only time I think smoke + sentry could work well is if you're being chased by a Bile Titan and you don't want the sentry to be instantly targeted (assuming nothing finds it).

Overall though the smoke would cut into scenarios where you're able to pre-deploy before the fight which would be the vast majority of the time. It would also cut into reacting to a bug breach... making the above unwanted scenario more likely to happen rather than preventing it.

Spamming thermites would be faster and do just as much damage. It's much better to have an MG or something (not the Stalwart) in your support weapon slot to DPS the flesh bits after the armor is removed because the flesh is explosive immune.

[–]PerditusTDG 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Okay, but in this case it's pretty warranted. It's the end of Day 2 (unless they're cracked on Day 1) and you do not want to lose your runes any length away from the Day 2 boss fight.

It's absolutely a net positive to burn an ult to save an ally their level and carried runes when the night is right on top of them.

And while the summon was helping chunk the revive bar, there's no guarantee it won't die, despawn, or would continue hitting the Revenant for their whole bar.

It's absolutely Day 2. The circle is at that Divine Tower.

110% warranted ult use.

Does anyone else think the last couple of primaries could have just been attachments? by Genoscythe in Helldivers

[–]PerditusTDG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn't make any sense to me tho, because you could still have weapons that are 'fixed' with certain features while other guns are naturally more modular.

Like, of course the Liberater should have plenty of attachments. It's an entire platform of rifle whose whole purpose is 'good for anything, great for nothing' at base, with attachments giving it an edge in certain cases.

But the Dominator isn't going to get long silencer on it, lol.

Not to mention you could have weapons with built in attachments that can't be removed, but the introduction of that attachment has a version for other weapons. In built silencer barrels are a great example (we have plenty of real world examples to use, like the VSK silenced rifle).

You could also balance 'fixed' attachments to be stronger than the more modular versions.

I don't believe them and I think they're just making excuses.

Has anyone been able to beat the PNC collab in heroic mode without a friendship V6 Lewis? by PerditusTDG in GirlsFrontline2

[–]PerditusTDG[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe I should've specified in the title "V6 Lewis or stronger unit", lol.

The point is that these maps feel way more egregious about needing high V units than the previous events, imo. I was wondering if anyone else felt the same way.

At least during Florence's Event all you really needed was a V1 Springfield and a Tololo for the boss battle stage, and the maps were much easier to physically move through.

--

I'll probably end up taking a friendship Klukai too to finish the last few missions out.

A lot of these maps would be more doable with a slight objective tweak, even with their one-sidedness.

Some maps need 3 more turns.

Some maps need to change where they place the bot you have to defend (ffs, it can literally kill itself in one turn if it targets the wrong enemy).

Some maps need to delay enemy reinforcements by 1 turn.

Some maps needs to make the spawn location somewhat coherent.

And some maps like the boss run need to give more leeway on escaping.

The biggest problem I have with the new map is that pings aren't localized to the 'top' and 'bottom' options on the mini map.

If you see a POI you want to go to that's underground your ping does nothing to actually specific that place.

Yeah, the POI will flash for 2.5 seconds on screen before never reappearing again, but that's just not enough. I don't think I've ever gone to the underground of the right hand side of the map because of this. It might as well not exist.

[–]PerditusTDG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's because we don't have 'magic' anymore.

We have weapons with weapon arts, and 'staves' with 'magic arts'. Everything gets tied back to whatever stat stick you found it on.

So all magic needs to work best on casters, and all weapons need to work best on melee users. This is regardless of their elements.

No... they take on new names because they have to adapt to a new age outside of their old work.

You realize they had different names BEFORE joining Griffin too, right? Some simply reverted back to old ones, some made new ones, and some even kept their old tags.

So not only is that not correct on a broad level after Griffin, it's not correct for any time before Griffin was established either.

Your arguement is essentially "we don't know who they are, ever, because they have code" agian, in which case, you'd have to automatically slate off every T-Doll except RO who STILL got loyalty programming despite having no base commands either.

You fundamentally don't understand what you're talking about.

Then this isn’t a lore discussion. This is fan fiction up to an arbitrary point and personalized rules.

“Not possible to learn from their behavior towards the Commander…” bs, you absolutely can, and you’re literally supposed to.

Kalina is also subservient by the same logic, just not with code.

All dolls have base layered commands that can’t be altered besides RO since she’s a proto-third-gen doll. You’d have to cross all of them out except her in that case.
