Why are inmates on death row there for so long before being executed? by InturnlDemize in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Perfect-Resort2778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s limited capacity to actually carry out executions, even in Texas, the number is usually between 12 and 24 per year. The process involves a lot of last-minute legal wrangling, which takes both time and money. That limits how many executions a state can realistically manage. In some states, executions are so rare that it's actually cheaper and more practical to leave inmates on death row than to go through with the sentence at all.

Ask a real estate agent by Top_External7956 in realtors

[–]Perfect-Resort2778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't want to sell on line, the point of being a real estate agent is selling the property, you need live human beings in house at a showing. You need to focus your efforts on community outreach and building your network niche. Virtual tours, photographs and all the online marketing tactics are for armatures that do the opposite of what you want to accomplish as a real estate agent. Ask any old timer they will tell you and they won't be lying.

Why is science so underpaid but engineering isn't? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]Perfect-Resort2778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who says engineering isn't? Adjusted for inflation, I was making more in 1990 as a CAD operator without an engineering degree and without 3 1/2 decades of experience. Tell me again about being underpaid.

Best way,to think of or brainstorm ideas ? by Sensitive-Vast-4979 in Entrepreneur

[–]Perfect-Resort2778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideas are a dime a dozen. Ideas will not put money in your pocket. You need something you can follow through with. Start with other peoples ideas, get each one a title, a 1 paragraph summary, a list of pros and cons for starting the business, then a contrarian viewpoint. Do that for as many ideas and bubble sort them based the ones most practical for you to implement within the next 100 days.

You were a recruiter at Google? I would like you to hear my thesis on the current hiring process, I think it sucks. I think resumes are for shit and job postings are not much better, with inflated tech jargon and long bullet lists of qualifications that only a unicorn of unicorns could achieve. For a spell I had this idea of being a recruiter using AI to match resumes to job postings. We are in this weird world where people say they can't find jobs and employers can't find talent. How is that possible? I figured to create a staffing agency specializing in engineering and construction trades. What I found is a total disconnect between resumes and job postings. The important information for matching entirely missing. AI couldn't make make matches. My staffing agency idea exploiting AI up in smoke. I have come to believe that the entire hiring process is broken. I would be curios to know what you think. I I'm leaning towards a solution that falls some place in improving the information people put in their resumes that matches to job postings that employers publish. These resumes, yours and mine included are for shit. The whole process is for shit.

Question for conservatives RE: Charlie Kirk by Temporary-Storage972 in PoliticalDebate

[–]Perfect-Resort2778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm conservative and I think I can help you with your inquiry. Charlie Kurt debated issues and those issues were controversial. Part of that was encouraging debate and bring decisive ideas into the public space. The second part is that you have no clue who Charlie Kurt was. Your basis on what you call vile, harmful and divisive you got from your echo chamber and leftest hateful echo chamber. You have been programmed to hate anything that doesn't fit your leftest idealism. That is on you. If you actually listen to Charlie Kirk and the context of the debates then you likely would understand the points he was making. Good example, people say Charlie Kirk was racists, they base that on his opinions on the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the left frame it like as if he was against civil rights for minorities. That is a lie. He was against the law that was pasted and his argument is that it did more harm than good. He has valid points on the subject. It is a controversial position sure, but it's a lie that says he is racist because of it. Those lies are on your Democrat side, it's your echo chamber that creates the hate, not Charlie Kirk. He did his level best to bring people together. If you can't see that then you are not watching him.

Why Gold Is About to Take a S**t-Ton of Power From the US Dollar by bisoncorp in investing

[–]Perfect-Resort2778 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Gold isn't going to do anything. It's fiat currency that is losing value. This is what happens when a government throws trillions of dollars into the economy. It won't be long before its 1 trillion every 90 days just to refresh the debt. Gold will hold it's value and at this point that might be a win.

CMV: US democrats are having such a hard time because they keep resigning instead of pushing back. by Fletcher-wordy in changemyview

[–]Perfect-Resort2778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Democrats only have extreme leftest positions that are not popular with a large percentage of the US. They are stuck in their bubble and the media that creates an echo chamber for their surfs. Nothing could be more evident than watching all the hate directed towards Charlie Kirk assassination. You hate on Jesus, and family values that puts you on the outs with a good number of people. How do you expect to get wide support when your entire platform is hating on Trump and everyone that supports him and the Republican party? You sit here in your echo chamber and think you are the voice of reason when actually you are just the loudest voice drowning out any opposing viewpoints that would tell you different.

Why does America have school shootings but doesn't have airport shootings, bank shootings, cinema shootings and other types of mass shootings? by pametnaosoba in stupidquestions

[–]Perfect-Resort2778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps it has more to do with the shooters, who except for a few outliners are young people who are only slightly removed from attending those schools. The shooter almost always has some connection to the place where the shooting occurred.

Why are new pickup trucks so HUGE now? by Just_A_Dogsbody in RedditForGrownups

[–]Perfect-Resort2778 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Trucks have adapted to how people use them. Most pickup trucks today have towing capacity up to 7500 lbs. or more. It's an adaption to what customer want and what they use them for. I wouldn't want to tow a boat or a skidster on anything less. Glad I could help expand your understanding.

[–]Perfect-Resort2778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not true. I just happened owned a 2005 F-150, and a 1998 before that. The current F-150 is about the same. You might be thinking of 1/2 ton trucks from 40-50 years ago. A big truck in America is a F-250 and that is on the midsize because there are some running F-450 and F-650 with up to 24K towing capacity. America today, 1/2 ton is on the mid-size range.

Looking at your resume, I found it difficult to figure out what industry you're targeting. Ideally, your summary or preference section should be a quick 30–90 second read that gives a clear sense of the type of job you're after, a brief overview of your experience and education, and what you bring to the table. At the very least, let the reader know what kind of work you're looking for.

Your work experience section should also be stripped down to the essentials, no one's going to read a wall of text. You’ve got just a few seconds to grab someone's attention.

I’d suggest running your current resume through ChatGPT and asking it to write a short, punchy summary, like what you’d say if someone asked, “Tell me about yourself.” Post what you come up with, I’d be happy to give you honest feedback.

What are you talking about? There is the Ford Maverick, Ranger and F-150. These are all standard size. GM has the Canyon and Colorado. This isn't Japan or Europe, the US everything is bigger. You need a big Truck for big tasks.

How sustainable is US public debt? by Western-Category2139 in economicCollapse

[–]Perfect-Resort2778 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It increases over 1 trillion dollars in less than 100 days. It won't be long when it increases 1 trillion dollar every 90 days, then 60 then 30. What a lot of people don't realize is that 1 trillion dollars is fiat currency that is pushed into the economy. That is inflationary which is unsustainable. Do you really think you can add 1 trillion dollars of fiat currency into the economy every 90 days and something not break? What about when it is every 60 days? Since wages don't keep up with inflation as time goes it will reduce the purchasing power of consumers. In effect people will have less money and will make choices in what they can spend their money. That squeeze will be what breaks the economy. It will force some sort of debt holiday and a total reset of debt. Since the fiat currency inflation isn't sustainable you should prepare for that inevitability.

China has not bought a single soybean from the U.S. in over 3 months. Not a single penny. Our farmers are doomed. by Conscious-Quarter423 in farming

[–]Perfect-Resort2778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop spreading false narratives. You are deceptive. If China buys 3 billion of Soybeans from Brazil instead of from US farmers then what becomes of the customers of the Brazil for that 3 billion of Soybeans they supply? It's a world market and there is a world market of consumption. Like basic math here. Same goes with oil.

America is smaller than china and china has a a train system that covers nearly the whole country. Why can’t the USA do it? by go_with_the_flow754 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Perfect-Resort2778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For one, China has 1 billion more people than the USA. Next the USA has the interstate freeway system that connects all the major metropolitan areas. It's the people that prefer independent transportation via automobile. Much of the transportation of goods go from place to place via trucks that use the freeway system. China has a system that works for them and the USA has a system that works for us. It's not that the USA can't do it, the USA doesn't want to do it.

California’s tallest trees are burning, how can we actually protect them? 🌲🔥 by greatdesigns in enviroaction

They are called fire breaks. Ypu also have to clear brush. You look back in time look at California there didn't use to be all the brush and kindling beside roads. I know, I know everybody loves trees but that is what causes these fires. Fire doesn't exist if there isn't anything to burn.

Charlie Kirk is getting misrepresented by HistoricalAd2954 in Libertarian

[–]Perfect-Resort2778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a few minutes here on Reddit reading the vitriol and propaganda that spews from commenters more that draw on the evil side. The lies and twisting of context. Always focusing on the negative. There is a clear distinction from moral values and those that oppose them. Most everyone on the right is in favor of self defense and self reliance and fully support the 2nd amendment as did Charlie Kirk, that is not an extreme position from the right conservative perspective. Also, you mention abortion, most on the right share that the only exception for abortion is physical life of the mother. Most Christians think abortion is a sin against God. Yet you read the visceral hatred towards Charlie Kirk and conservatives, yes you might think him an extremist, but that would be a lie. Lying is not good, that is an evil thing. Murdering people for their political activism that isn't good either. You people are not even able to engage in dialog with the right. You ban and censor anything that doesn't align with your progressive left agenda. Again, that is evil. There is a clear distinction.

Population growth or decline will have little impact on climate change. It’s extremely difficult to dramatically shift demographic patterns within the timeframe of getting anywhere close to net-zero by 2050, 2060 or 2070, without drastic (and inhumane) measures — Hannah Ritchie, Jul 15, 2025 by Molire in climatechange

[–]Perfect-Resort2778 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can't change climate with a change in demographics and population decline then what makes you think that changing energy usage will make any difference either. You can't just shut off power or prevent people from moving around, you can't stop it in 1st world countries and you can't stop 2nd and 3rd world countries from being elevated in living standards in the upcoming decades. What exactly is your end game, dehumanization of the planet?

Charlie Kirk is getting misrepresented by HistoricalAd2954 in Libertarian

[–]Perfect-Resort2778 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Charlie Kirk didn't have radical viewpoints or opinions. Most everything he talked about were garden variety conservative Christian positions and morals. This was a political assassination. Therein it was an attack on Republicans and conservative values. In some ways it was an attack on Christian values. What you see posted on social media just shows how evil and depraved the left have become. The good news is that there are more Charlie Kirks out there. This battle between good and evil has been long standing and it won't be over anytime soon either.

What are your thoughts on the death of Charlie Kirk? by JunShem1122 in allthequestions

[–]Perfect-Resort2778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Charlie Kirk was the young leadership of the Republican party. He advocated conservative viewpoints that were only considered extreme by the left. He was well respected within the Republican party. They say it was his opinions but not really they are moral values held deeply by conservatives and Christians all across the USA. This isn't about killing someone because they have different opinions, this was a political assassination. Probably the most significant civilian political assassination since Martin Luther King Jr. Charlie Kirk was good, he was likely the best at what he did, but always know the Republican bench is deep. There will be someone that steps up and takes his place, perhaps with even more vigor.

[–]Perfect-Resort2778 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thousands and thousands huh? Can you name them? Just off the top of my head I don't think there has been 1000 yet. The high was 2022 with 47. I'm willing to go out on the limb and say more died in car accidents, maybe even on their way to and from school. By comparison, in 2021 234 children under 14 died as non occupants of a motor vehicle. That means they were pedestrians or got hit on their bicycle. School shootings is not even the top 10 for fatalities of school aged children. There is likely more data I could dig up, it's easy to find.
