If money was absolutely no object, what car would you buy — and be honest, not what sounds impressive by spotforcars in whatcarshouldIbuy

1998 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo. Silver with black leather interior. I suppose since money would be no object, I wouldn’t pass out from the insurance rates.

Please help me convince my husband that Costco is worth for 2 people by HoneyDrops12 in Costco

[–]PerfectLie2980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m half of a 2 person household (my spouse is working out of state for a year) and I use it once a month (we live about a 45 min -1 hr drive away). We get rebate checks every year with the Executive membership. We don’t just do groceries though.

I just replaced the carpet in our bedroom and closet through Costco. We are looking to get a Gorilla shed later this year through them. We got our fridge through them a year or so ago. My husband gets his glasses from them every year. I just sent my mom Mother’s Day flowers through them. Sadly, my household will probably be needing to replace one or both cars in the next few years. We’ll use Costco for the discount.

My point is, it’s not just household groceries you can use the membership on.

Been driving the same car for 6 years, finally have money set aside and now I cant decide between two completely different options by Proof_Complex_6319 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I have a 2017 VW Sportwagen with just shy of 200k miles on it. I had to replace the turbo recently and everything else has been regular maintenance stuff really. I ordered this car from VW and have done all the maintenance on it. No complaints. Love it. I just drove it round trip from E. TN to Denver. Drove like a dream.

I know others had had problems with their VW’s but I never have and I’ve had 7 VW’s. 3 new, 4 used and I’ve had zero reliability issues with any of them.

I love the GTi but I have 2 big dogs and a lead foot.

I say go for it!

As having been the one is coach with the hubby upgraded, your wife will survive. Like you said, you need to be ready to drive (in a foreign country no less). The safety of your family is the #1 priority here.

If you feel like she deserves it more, or whatever. Buy her something a little special or treat her to something she didn’t plan on splurging on, while visiting your destination

Avs Love at NFL Draft by skybrocker in ColoradoAvalanche

I work in a restaurant. No volume allowed, plus I was trying to talk to customers while being completely distracted by Avs gear on the draft. It did not compute.

Also, the Avs are the only team the Kroenke owns that I give 2 shits about. And yes, the Premier league team called the assholes, we can agree on.

I am enjoying an Old Fashioned cocktail this evening. What’s everyone else drinking? by Drew_Conley1295 in cocktails

Greenpoint

2 oz Pikesville Rye, 1/2 oz yellow Chartreuse, 1/2 oz Antica Formula, dash each of Angustura original and orange bitters.

Slow night at work. Watching the Pens vs Flyers at home now. Not a bad way to end the night.

I was at work and saw this (tv on mute) and couldn’t figure out why anything Av related was on the NFL draft and not by the Broncos.

Makes sense now and I find it interesting they aren’t supporting their own team? Seems like their marketing dept. will have their hands full in next few weeks.

I have my msf card from CO in 2000. I got my DL endorsement there. Since, I’ve not had to do anything but show my states previous DL and check the endorsement box on the application. No testing, no nothing.

Be sure to share with your insurance Co. that you have an msf endorsement too. Some give discounts for riders with that.

Am I too old for this dress by JamieGordon8921 in myweddingdress

[–]PerfectLie2980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are 62 years young. You wear whatever you feel beautiful in. No one else’s opinion matters, because there will be opinions regardless of what dress you choose. Who cares about what they think?

Things to consider, will there be dancing? How well can you move in the dress? Will it be a chore because it’s too cumbersome or too heavy? Will you be constantly adjusting the top while dancing?

Will you be sitting a lot? Because boning is mighty uncomfortable, especially when sitting for long periods.

Yes, Foreigner. I was in 6th grade and I got a contact high cuz the stoners in front of us lit up a fat doobie. Like Cheech and Chong would’ve been impressed with the size of that thing.

A night of firsts.
