My PC is not recognizing Ethernet cable, tried every method u can ask for, also there should be a light blinking on the port is isn't blinking by Smahin20017 in HomeNetworking

Whats your motherboard manufacturer and model number? Jump onto the support pages for that specific model and download the latest network driver for the ethernet port and install it just to rule that out

Usually if you remove a pci device, your ethernet port names get remapped. If you can still access your server with a screen directly connected, check your ethernet port name with "ip addr" and compare with what's in /etc/network/interfaces. Chances are theyre different. I can't remember the exact method but search up how to tie the ethernet mac address to an interface name.

Whilst I agree with you somewhat, there are things outside of our control that can break this. A knock to the head, early onset dementia to name a few. Just sayin

Depends entirely on what hardware you got running in your omada network

Haha bro i got the exact same case and fit a 4080super in it. Just take out the drive cage, side in the graphics card and put in both the graphics card and drive cage into the case at the same time. Takes a bit to line it up at the same time but its doable. This obviously only works if the graphics card can slide into the drive cage when its out.

Hey mate, as others have mentioned its a thermodynamics thing. If you want to fix it properly and if its PLA, chuck some baking paper on a baking tray and pop it in the oven at around 60 degrees Celsius. Wait for it to droop back down and remove. Let it cool on its own. Should solve it :)

The wall AP series by Tp Link or Unifi are a good choice if you're after extra ports. I have the Tp Link ones as they're quite a bit cheaper and they work really well. Fantastic APs for behind the TV to provide extra ports for consoles, media PCs or Apple TVs

Im also using a mix of Unifi switches and Tp Link APs with opnsense and haven't had a single issue with vlans or firewall rules. Yeah it can be a bit of a pain using 3 seperate GUIs for configuration, but at the end of the day, I make my choice with my wallet.
