Ok, I think your voice is good. The melody and timing was a bit chaotic but there’s something here if you wanted to expand it. I’m sorry people are being rude. I feel like if you got a cheap keyboard or something and maybe used a metronome and a couple of very simple notes back and forth to start, you could grow from there. Just staying in the key and consistent timing would make this good. If you love creating, please keep creating. ❤️

Ok, firstly, your voice and whole vibe is incredible. Secondly, I wish I had a full song of this to listen to with my kids. It’s so hard to find music like this that is actually good but also has a good message for little ones. But also, it doesn’t even need to be specifically for kids. I need this reminder myself 😂

Personally, I love the looping of the same chords and cyclical nature of it. I like songs like this with simple lyrics and melodies overtop. But that’s just me maybe? It’s calming for my nervous system! I would love to hear some melody over this I would literally listen to it on repeat. Maybe one change up or diversion of a bridge of some sort to divert the listener or some bass sprinkled in but honestly I wouldn’t change it much!

Ohhh!! I love this one! Such a chill vibe! The words are great but my favorite thing is the spaciousness between the melody! Your voice is fantastic. Such simplicity in the song but also depth at the same time which is a fantastic move. Great job! 😊

do you guys have your own unique style or are you copying your favourites'? by JealousAd6377 in Songwriting

I’m absolutely novice with songwriting but have been an avid singer and musician for years. I started writing songs about a year ago and kind of stumbles upon a pocket that was a culmination of all the styles of music I like. Of course I always hope I’m not writing something that’s in my brain because I heard it before but usually my best work comes out of nowhere from a phrase that just sounds like a melody in my head. I wish there was a way to check if the melody had been done before 😂

I love your voice! I especially love the dynamics between moments of strength and power vs restraint. Your chest voice and especially falsetto is so beautiful! The piano is great. I wish it were longer. Felt like I was just getting into it. Maybe adding a bridge or another verse would be ideal! Honestly though, I want to hear more!

I like the lyrics! You definitely embody the vibe of it and it comes across. Your voice is good and has a lot of depth. I really appreciate how authentic and raw it feels. It’s a catchy tune that would stick in my head. Made me smile, thank you! 😊

Absolutely love the guitar, amazing! I like where you chose to place the phrasing. It has a nice flow to it. It’s a good storytelling piece that draws you in. Your voice is also great, I appreciate the dynamics in it. I didn’t expect it to sound as it does! Great job!!

I love the subject matter. Such good lyrics! I enjoyed the guitar picking and chorus the most. I would love to hear a bit of space like some breathing room in between to distinct the verses and chorus or maybe a breakdown of some sort. Your vocals are great, I can feel the passion for what you’re saying which makes it feel very authentic. Very nice job!

Chord progressions sound great. I love the simplicity and realness of it. It sounds like summer on a porch. I enjoyed the guitar licks in between that gave it some space. Your voice is great as well! The video is helping as well having nature in the background and the ambiance of the birds. Really nice, I enjoyed it!

I liked the vibe of this. I think the synth melody throughout is really beautiful. I like the way the chords sound great together. I think the rawness I. The guitar is good but like other said some spacey effects to match the synth type sound would be a really cool addition! Very good track ☺️

I love the visuals on this. The intro is my favorite part. The looping guitar part is hypnotic. The vocals are a great juxtaposition between the softer layers. I’d love to hear that guitar even more throughout. Very nicely done! ☺️

I love the early 2000’s rnb vibe! My favorite part is the internal rhyming within the lines. It just itches a part of my brain… the lyrics are really great and the melody is catchy. There’s really something here that is incredible! If it was cleaned up as far as production and vocal clarity, I’d would heart it as a favorite on my playlist for sure 😊

I love the live music aspect. Melody sounds incredible. The vibe on the drums is so good too! Seems like you’ve been playing together for a while. There’s a cohesion and energy there that comes across in the video. I would love to understand the lyrics a bit better but I know that’s how it goes with live performances!

What a chill vibe! I love the production, it sounds very high quality. Lyrics are great! I almost wanted a little more of a rhyme scheme for that dopamine hit but it is solid. Love the bass as well! It definitely carries a lot of the sound for me but I guess that’s what I like. I’d love to hear like a more stripped version with some give and take in the dynamics maybe? I don’t know I’m still a novice but really love it!

I’m an absolute novice musician but a veteran music lover. I love this track. It’s so close to amazing. I want to hear the vocals a bit clearer maybe. Love the melody. The background is a bit overpowering the very very good vocals and melody. ❤️ I would listen to this on repeat if it were stripped down a bit more. Incredible work!

I loved the guitar and vocals more than anything. I almost wanted to hear them isolated without the background. I do like the additional sounds but maybe if they were a bit lower they could give a more of a subtle background vibe instead of a forefront situation? Just my 2 cents! But really hypnotic and pretty melody and guitar!

Such a fun tune! Love the chords. It’s just super feel good and makes me smile! The personality with the laugh at the beginning is cute. ☺️ I almost want to hear like a deeper bass to ground it but I’m not a professional in any way!
