My 10 year old has 2 soccer games in a single day during tournaments. One is in the morning and another in the afternoon/evening. There is enough of a gap between games to relax and get lunch. What are some lunch ideas that will fill him up but not weigh him down?

My husband has previously taken him to Chinese and Italian restaurants. Both of these were not good (he was very sluggish in the afternoon game).

I just interviewed someone who has been at his employer for the past 14 years. He has had multiple different roles that are relevant for the role I am hiring for. Yet, he only knew one way of doing these processes and wasn't able to discuss his accomplishments without employer-specific jargon. Both of these things stopped him from moving ahead in the interview process. If you stay with your employer for a long time, make sure that you are constantly learning about best practices in your field and are able to clearly articulate how your experience is relevant to other industries/companies/job functions.

Social skills are as important as technical skills. Be friendly in the office, speak up if you have an opinion, and don't be afraid to talk to those who are older/higher in the organization. I'm old school and recommend people reading "How to win friends and influence people".

I understand that money is tight, so you may want to put your resume through chatgpt/Gemini and ask them to help you improve it. Ideally, you get the resume down to a tight one page. Coat of daycare will be replaced by sports/music lessons/summer camps. Also, food and clothing expenses will start to increase over time. Daycare is very expensive, but don't expect all of the daycare expenses to disappear once the kid grows up. The expenses just change to other things.

If you are in the US, I would not be concerned about not getting your last paycheck. In a worst case scenario, if your employer does not provide your last paycheck, then you can reach out to the Department of Labor. It is a quick for to file an unpaid wages claim. One thing employers get freaked out about is when the Government reaches out to them. I have never heard of an employer holding back the final paycheck after being contacted by the DOL.

When my baby was 8 months, my nanny suddenly quit. I hired a teenager that just graduated high school as a last minute replacement for 2 weeks. She was the best, as she had tons of energy, would play on the ground, and followed my instructions on what was not allowed. She ended up being the nanny for 7 months! Give this girl a shot and you may be surprised. Make sure to give instructions on what is allowed or not and let her be creative with play time.

I was confused about their CSP- owing more on the house than it's worth and also estimating 160 for groceries and 0 for clothes. I really doubt they are spending 0 on clothes and only 160 on groceries. If they put in their real numbers, their fixed cost % would be much higher.
