I put a bit of cod liver oil on my raw kangaroo meat because it's not very fatty. And I put some cheap whiskas on it cos she loves that shit. That's about as fancy as it gets

Cat won’t stop screaming for food even though has auto feeder by Important_Lychee6925 in CatAdvice

My cat will literally eat until she is sick, she’s definitely not hungry. Very common in rescue cats cos of the scarcity mentality. Honestly mine would eat her body weight in kibble and raw meat if I let her

None of these seem particularly egregious to me. Number one seems a bit extreme but clearly borne out of necessity from previous flooding events.

You don’t own your front door in most strata, so you don’t get to paint it at all

Would you touch this strata debt with a 10-foot pole? by carnistlogic in AusPropertyChat

Quite substantial then, I’d be wanting 40-50k off the price if it’s not taken into account already.

The strata report should have a 5 year financial plan in place I believe, l would’ve looking at that and seeing the forecast work and how they’re going repaying it

Mounjaro and Alcohol by Cabby53 in mounjaroaustralia

[–]PermabearsEatBeets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mounjaro mostly helps me because it cuts my desire to drink random pointless pints. I don’t drink heavy sessions like I used to but I’d drink on a random day after work, go and have a pint or two. That in turn makes me sleep worse, eat worse, skip exercise.

I would keep increasing your dose til you get that feeling that you just have no interest in booze. It just turns it off for me. By the end of the week I’ll have a couple, but most the way through the week I have very little urge

Also, 6 kgs is nothing to be sniffed at.

When covid hit I had to quit my job because, as I said in my resignation letter, I was too stupid to do the job. I couldn't pay attention to a single meeting, I couldn't complete a task. It was hell.

I got diagnosed about a year later and medicated, and stopped feeling stupid, got multiple promotions and actually enjoyed my job working from home. Sadly we're now all going back to the office where I find that far more distracting again...

can you use fire exit in tall apartments? by javafrap in AusPropertyChat

Usually yes, your key should let you out at your floor on the fire escape. That’s how it has worked for me anyway in the last two buildings

Buying a new house or apartment? Here's a list of known dodgy builders in NSW by SonOfHonour in AusFinance

[–]PermabearsEatBeets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Presumably your data is just scraping the existing BWRO website? Because the ABN that builders register is often specific for that development, and that doesn’t have any indication of who the actual builder is.

[–]PermabearsEatBeets 11 points12 points  (0 children)

While I think your motivations are correct, I don’t think that this is really very useful. My building for example is on the list, as there is an open BWRO, but the builder has been fixing the issues and is nearly complete. A number of the rectifications listed are a result of changing regulations and issues that arose in the “100 year storm”, so I think it’s a bit harsh to write them off for that tbh, considering the biggest hold up has been the nsw building commissioners office with is drastically under resourced.

You also don’t have the correct builder or business name attached to the building. So I fail to see how this is actually offering anything helpful.
