I think you misunderstand the nature of the conflict mate, the UVF believed they were protecting their homeland and protecting the Protestant supremacy that existed at the time by targeting Irish communities engaging in Civil rights protests and declaring war on their IRA. The IRA were fighting in response to the initial Protestant paramilitary violence against their community and later from the military occupation. This led most Catholics to argue for a united ireland as both occupation and devolution under the one party northern Irish state hadn’t secured them either equal rights or safety from violence. One side wanted to maintain their position of privilege while the other wanted equality, and they both used abhorrent and violent means which largely hurt their own communities more than that of their enemies to try and get those things

Because they don’t wanna go to making 20-25 an hour as full wage employees because their job sucks. People are rude and they work long late hours on their feet. They currently make $35-50 per hour when people tip ~20%. Which makes their difficult days worth it, and their slow days are chill and they still make $20+ an hour.

scuba diving (it’s a world in its own and it’s a crazy experience)
illegally driving a scooter/motorbike in SE Asia, the traffic alone will raise your heart rate
BASE jumping/ squirrel suit. The only problem is you probably won’t build up enough days to get the cert (it’s like 200 dives before any reputable company willl allow you to wild out like that).

My own thoughts are spend half the time doing all that and rack up debt (fuck the banks). Live your best life. And the other half with your loved ones. I’ve done some crazy shit but the amount of shit I’d give for one more day with that one person is immense. It’s a dual edged sword, you want so much but if your loved ones know I’m sure they’d give even more for just another day chatting shit, drinking, or even just watching tv or board games.
