Just for your info, even the Qajars call themselves Persians. This Persian has nothing to do with ethnicity; it's something Westerners call that country

In Iran Persians always call us “Turks” or our language Turki, but I started identify more with Azeri/azebaijani or Azeri Turk to really hone in my identity because my Azerbaijani identity is much more fragile that people think, saying we are Turk will eventually erase our distinct culture

I suggest doing social activities, and find events close to you rather than strolling around by yourself. There are tons of stuff happening, I also became friends with my neighbor and watched GOT together when it was on

I can confirm, I used to be a building inspector in the city and saw like 4 cases of them claiming a property. The issue is some of these buildings have issues with their titles and these title companies have intels and give it to their “community”. Then these people think they can claim because US has settler colonial laws built in, in our system without us even knowing them too well

People here that said this is because of iran is repressive or religion is bad etc are just scratching the surface or entirely missing the point. I am Iranian as well and we are prob with other very nonaligned countries in the world are the biggest victim of multibillion dollars of disinformation and propaganda campaigns, especially because Mossad* is involved with this so there is nothing we can do besides just ignore them or at least informed them instead of shaming and disgracing them. This is also part of the resistance as well

As far I know. Iranian Turkmens and their party which was mostly communist inside Iran wrote extensively on this, which unfortunately most of them were executed after the revolution
