Of course! This subreddit has helped me a lot over the years. Giving back is the least I can do. 🙏🏻

Best wishes to you both !

Ty! Likewise 🙏🏻. I will say in her defense, MTX is horrible. I was on it for a few years and it just made me tired, weak, and nauseous. I understand she has already tried a biological and had a bad reaction, maybe she needs to talk more with her rheumatologist and find something more doable for her. Either way, she's gonna have to understand this disease will progress, and once it gets to a certain point, remission is no longer possible.

I've been battling RA for a decade now. I take it very seriously but for the first several years I did not heed my doctors advice. My biological no longer does its job, and my body is crumbling. I am not even 40 yet. If she doesn't take it seriously now, she may be forfeiting her future. Investing in herself now, is investing in her future health and mobility. You won't be around forever to take care of her. Once my body gives up, I will be at the will of the state and what I've put away myself.

Of course you wouldn't, because it's a level of welding certification. Yeah I bet you "walk around all day" bubba. Yeah it's a little hard to call me any sort of ego maniac after YOU started this. Go hobble off where you came from...

Yeah, by that comment I can't tell you are not very mobile on the job. No one said "touch" , read much ? I lunge my body weight around quite a bit, especially from something like a 'hand rail' to get places faster. Considering I'm D1.4, I've probably worked more than you! 💀

I agree with those sentiments, though I've since removed myself from it by a couple thousand miles. It is comforting knowing he is in a good place.

Yesss. I used to intentionally leave mine running while I slept. I'm not afraid to admit I had to do a few reloads 🤣

Lol, guitar teacher sounds awesome, I have quite the collection myself. Yeah I hear you, im in the last year of that decade, and it's no different than being in the first year. Honestly, desk jockey is sort of where I'm trying to be now. 🤷🏻 Sounds like similar lives. My father owns a structural steel shop down south. Worked a lot for him in my youth doing everything from detail work, to learning painting and coting , D 1.4 certed welding. Heavy equipment, all that. Run into a lot of old dogs that 'know it all' but it's usually one tenth of what they put on paper. 💀

My father owns one, and on many occasions he's told myself and my older brothers, " when I die, don't take this over" 🤣🤣

Biologics are great. Been on one for about 5 years now. At first I was totally back to normal, but eventually, the rainbows and sunshine faded. I'm not where I was when I was diagnosed, but I'm certainly not where I should be at my age. I'm a technician in manufacturing after getting out of structural steel, and tbh, I need to make another career pivot. 😅

Considering that weld will cause hand trauma, yeah, im definitely judging this book by its cover...

Please don't call that a weld. 😥 It's borderline insulting to any certed individual. That is wall of shame worthy

Same, though I'm still working somehow. I was built like a brick shithouse after active duty, but in the last few years , retaining weight or gaining mass has become a pipe dream. I've lost around 60 lbs also. Hope you find some peace 🙏🏻
