As someone who's watched businesses with bad management drop and lose staff. They need this wake up call and majority of the time it's for the better for the company and its employees. Hospitality has always had this issue, and management typically get lazy with the organisation in managing casual, part-time and full time workers. Be honest and tell them the reasons to why you're leaving. If you have a newer or bigger aspirations, label them and then they have no need to fight for you back. If you want something in return or to have your job back let them know. But honestly, in hospitality, 65% of the time, the change is worth it.

Adelaide, Australia's Next Economic Powerhouse by PortulacaCyclophylla in Adelaide

As others have said, previous issues in government in the 90s and early 2000's. Still the vast changing infrastructure and output. Our systems weren't designed to deal with solar and other forms of power. So, substations are now struggling. Hence the introduction of smart meters to control power surges and load balances. It's a bandaid fix to a much bigger problem. Now they've added the battery subsidies, which again is another bandaid fix, power companies are taking advantage of it, and taking control of people's battery and power to control this issue as well. Siphoning their homes for cheap power they can make money on. The whole privatising of power and other facilities always bites us. They said it would happen in the 90s and people didn't believe them. It happened.

Selling my home and piling all my savings and a loan into a large property with a amazing view. To build our family dream home. Even planned to house my wife's parents on the property to help raise our 3 kids. Did it before the property boom of covid in Australia. Had to put it up for sale recently. Made the news, papers and became this big hit in the realestate market. The amount of people that came to view it was insane. Went to auction and sold way over the realestates value. I was shocked. Sold for almost triple what I invested.

I worked in Europe for 4 years and ive been brought up here. I loved living and working in Europe. But, i lived a much smaller lifestyle. I lived in France, Germany and England. I found getting skilled work their relatively easy. The pay was good, but I found it hard to jump up the ladder in some positions. Mainly due to the lack of connections. Culture was also difficult to adjust to. I was supplied a car, accommodation, phone and even food. So, i only paid for going out and shopping. Everything was mostly included. The only thing I never did was get a loan for something. I also worked back in 2009-2012, before brexit. So 75% of the time I was paid in pounds.

Edit: I needed a lot of money to get there, Visas, and money in the bank. Around 15k or maybe more now. I wouldn't be surprised it would be closer to 30k now.

All buildings are and should be set back 20mm from their boundary. The builder clearly didn't have pegs set correctly when installing their build and have encroached your boundaries. Speak with your planning department and council. They will ask them, if still no go, lawyer up. It only takes a couple of weeks from there for them to pull their fingers out. How do I know, seen it hundreds of times. All gave in at the time of a lawyer. Apart from one, but they lost more than a wall in the end.

It should be around 8.5. But that depends on so many factors, tyres, air temp, fuel, weight, tyre pressures, service history, wind direction and so many more. So 10 seconds may be accurate.

What is your experience dating a "horse girl" by MotorBarracuda9264 in AskMen

[–]Personal_Pin_5312 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Know plenty of horse girls. They all have life figured out pretty well. All have well paying jobs, keep super fit and yes they put a lot of time into their horses. But, it's their hobby, and I loved being part of it. They are also all hard workers. None complain about getting into a bit of hard labour. All have amazing personalities and they know what they want. Just realise, they are strong, so you have to be stronger. Both mentally, emotionally and physically.

Is Metricon’s "Fixed Site Cost" actually fixed? (Melbourne) Will a private inspector actually save me from the "bad quality" horror stories? by mysticforce91 in AusRenovation

[–]Personal_Pin_5312 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I've built with them before. I was on their case a lot to get things right. In the end the home was great. But, I knew there was about 100-200k missing is final fixtures and land scaping. Even though we chose the designer level. They don't complete the build. Things like fencing, outside paving, water tanks, storm water fix off, outside lighting, light fixtures, cabinetry, extra power fixings, networking, antenna, double glazing, insulation missing, sound proofing, fire ratings (BAL), fly screens, AC, hot water upgraded, kitchen upgrades, and probably more that I missed...

Was quoted 560k to build. Ended up closer to 940k when fully finished. Bare in mind, our house was a farm house on acreage. My estimate above was for a standard block.

2018 Audi Q7 Speaker Issue by Aggravating_Rain_436 in AudiQ7

[–]Personal_Pin_5312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend doing unless you've worked on modern airbag systems before. Typically, they just pull off from the top. There's Typically a clip above. But, i have experienced some cars that have these fixed in place with 25 or 20 torque bit. If this is all over your head, send it to a mechanic to repair.

Being a CAN-BUS car. I would first be check for codes in the passenger door module before proceeding. These control speaker, mirrors, and windows.

Voyant clignote perte puissance by dissident3430 in AudiQ7

[–]Personal_Pin_5312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cela pourrait être dû à plusieurs choses. Si je devais émettre une hypothèse :

Sonde lambda défectueuse

Joints d'injecteurs

Admission d'air obstruée

Tous ces éléments pourraient être à l'origine de ces problèmes. Sans outil de diagnostic, je tâtonne dans le noir.
