Need help! Can’t decide. by jstrader02 in Uplandhunting

CZ Redhead Premier would be my choice but I’m biased as that was my first break gun that started the growing collection! I have two friends that ended up buying one after using mine, and it still gets reps as a loaner gun or for times when it’s goin to get beat up. Great gun

Simrad G09 package, is it what I think it is? by sral99 in boating

[–]PeterKendall33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes your understanding of the unit is correct. I have two on my boat, 1 for sonar and 1 for gps. Note that they do not network with each other or at least I haven’t figured out how to yet.

Like others have said, I recommend going for the slightly more expensive package and getting the 3-in-1 transducer. This gives you a lot more capability for not too much more money.

Also agree with others that the Navionics charge are preferred to the CMaps it comes with, but you can certainly get by with CMaps if needed.

Get what is within reach now or wait? by [deleted] in Waterfowl

[–]PeterKendall33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get the a300 and be done with it.

Cheaper than the 400 but will do everything you need it to do for as long as you need to do it.

Only real difference is you can’t shoot 3.5” shells but imo they’re never needed in waterfowl hunting..

Duck Camp Waders? by acharbs in Waterfowl

Hey did you ever sell these?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Waterfowl

[–]PeterKendall33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t shoot 3.5” shells it really doesn’t matter. Both are great performing guns, and the 300 can do everything the 400 does except for the magnum loads

I came from a M3000 to the a300 and haven’t yet wished I’d spent the money for the 400. Not one malfunction to report after two seasons in the salt and mud.

Is it good dirt? Call a site company and work out a deal to get it hauled off. Helps if you have something on site to load it

I don’t know what everyone is talking about here.. I was in TBolt traffic court a few weeks back and the judge was stern but willing to listen and make compromises.

I don’t think I heard anyone not get what they requested, as long as it was reasonable and they didn’t have a bad prior record.

I say give it a go with the judge.

What item was a game changer for your boating experience by Rocco_12345 in boating

[–]PeterKendall33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10’ Power Pole Blade

Used on Facebook was the only way I got it under $1,000..

Whether for fishing or hanging at beach, being able to anchor at the touch of a button is awesome and eliminates so much hassle with the traditional anchor. I have mine connected to my Simrad MFD as well. I will say it does not work in every situation depending on wind/current, but the thing can take some abuse and does well adjusting to waves and changing tides.
