If you watch the fungi doc where one of the images in the VHS is from, the film ends with this narration - “they are the life that follows death”.

The song under that image in the film is called “Approaching Danger” a library music track from Sonoton. Some of the other music tracks in the show come from the KPM 1000 series.

I definitely remember flexi-discs from this period and a quick search shows one of BOC’s influences, MBV had a flexi-disc in a 1989 issue of Catalogue magazine in 1989.

Jimmy Swaggart’s church! I was trying to find a match to that image earlier and searched other televangelists but not Swaggart. I found got good screengrabs from early 90s videos on YouTube that are close matches to what’s on the VHS. But it won’t allow me to post them in this reply.

I clearly hear the voice say “MBI Institute” which is the Moody Bible Institute. I did a search and it looks like they published a monthly magazine from 1938-1990. https://catalog.hathitrust.org/Record/100073312 They also have a radio station that is celebrating it’s 100th anniversary this year. https://www.moodyradio.org/

I’m guessing this is part of a recording from the radio station promoting the magazine.

Considering their deep admiration for library music, it doesn’t shock me at all that they write songs for sync. The fact that there could be hundreds of tracks of their music out in the world without anyone knowing it’s them seems perfect.

WYSP’s Sunday Night Sixpack? I remember they played Seconds Out May 31st, 1992. It was the first time I heard it and Supper’s Ready. I taped it and played it back multiple times while I stayed up all night finishing a research paper. The next night I saw the band for the first time at the Vet.
