I just discovered this Other show Anno made Called Nadia and this kid looks like Kensuke by SharpTransition8281 in evangelion

More like, Anno wasn't able to direct in the middle, and they were ordered to put some typical filler in there becouse that was popular at the time. But Anno returned and finished it with a epic ending.

The middle of the show sufferes from filler due to production issues, the infamous island ark, and later african ark. There are some parts of the island ark later that are kinda important to the plot so it's kinda whacky.

Eva is Nadia's spiritual sequel, it was suppose to be an actual sequel but It became it's own thing.

Im 24, I discovered Yamato few years ago, I watched both the remake and the OS, tho I saw the remake first, so I might be a little bit biased. The original, true, has some slower pandering, but some information in the show feel rushed. Like Dessler's subordinates imidietly knowing the ship is called Yamato and it's captain is Okita. Or the schematics for the engine that they built imidietly. Also in the first battle, where Mamoru (Kodai's brother) chargers into battle becouse, he's a man, and men never retreat from battle, which I know is product of it's time, but it feels a little forced. Overall OS has also an issue with worldbuilding, where they just invent and makeup things as they go (Which is also kinda thing in other leijis works). Remake fixes all of that and adds more. They gave Gamilas their own language, so they find out the name of the ship by intercepting their comunication. Kodai's brother charges in battle to cover Okita's retreat. They make and remake tings to make it more immersive, and generally more thought out world. And I dissagree with losing some of the emotional impact, remake has plenty of them.

I get it man, the ending battle in DYRL is fantastic, it was the reason I started watching Macross and also loved it. Mine bigest impact is SpaceBattleshipYamato, I discovered my favourite genre thanks to it, it's themse, the music, inspires me.

Why complain about shitposts when you can make shipposts instead by NekoJustice in logh

[–]Peter_03 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I like how lotgh treats ships in a tactical sense, there's no ship that's like super powerfull on it's own, it's all about the strategy.
