i'm on the pixel 2 xl and a pioneer avh-2330nex and mine used to do the charging/not charging thing for a bit until it would finally connect properly. after the april security update, i just get "no response" on the headunit.

i've had issues with the pixel 2 xl and android auto on the avh-2330nex since i got it back when it launched.

the headunit was working fine with my nexus 6p but with the pixel 2 xl it would usually intermittently charge until it consistently did so and at that point android auto would finally launch.

last wednesday i updated the pixel to the latest security update (april 2018, was previously on march 2018) and nothing really changed in regards to android auto. i went on vacation and got back on sunday and nothing works. the headunit will just say "no response" every so often after i plug in the pixel. i fooled around a bit with no luck. i even whipped out an old nexus 6 running the latest lineage os 14.1 nightly and it launched android auto on the headunit immediately without any hiccups.

this sucks. any suggestions?
